Hey all you Delta/ATL experts.

I'm currently scheduled to fly out of Boston at 8am Wednesday morning. Mother Nature might have other ideas. :lmao:

Currently we're going with the flow, and trying not to get too worked up. I think we'll know more tomorrow about what the storm is doing.

Realistically, if I were able to get us on a flight out of Boston tomorrow afternoon, connecting through Atlanta, and then on to Ft Myers, what is the shortest connection you'd schedule through ATL.

There are a couple of flights with 'official' connections of at least 90 minutes or more. I don't think I'd take anthing much tighter than that, but looking to see what the experts think.

CarolA, you out there??? :)

Oh no Deb, not Wednesday. I hope you can get out tomorrow, I can't answer your question, just wanted to wish you lots of luck! Let us know how you make out, ok?

Jill, these are the risks we take flying out of the NE in February. We've been making this trip for 4 years, and this is the first year the weather has even been close to affecting us, so we've been VERY lucky.

There's nothing I can about it at this point, so we'll see what happens, and keep everything crossed that we can cross.

hey, so have you had any luck with Delta tonight, getting on any flights for tomorrow? I would take connecting flights tomorrow over anything at this point, just get down there, ya know?

I connect through ATL quite often and never had a problem. 90 mins would be good. Just be aware if there are problems in the Northeast that will ripple through the whole system.

At least ATL has plenty to do if there is a delay.

I wouldn't book anything less than hour between flights. Ninety minutes should be fine. I've never flown through Atlanta without having some kind of a delay (on top of my connection time) so we've always had plenty of time.

Thanks Safetymom and Darcy.

So far we're holding steady, and hoping (fingers crossed) to get out on our flight tomorrow at 8am. There should only be a couple of inches of snow down, and the winds won't be HOWLING yet. The only fly in the ointment would be if the plane we're on, is coming from somewhere else and is impacted by the weather. But Delta is not moving people off our flight yet, so we're sitting tight.

ok Deb. I sure hope you're putting sunscreen on at this time tomorrow:) !

From your mouth to God's ears. :)

Our car service is picking us up about 20 minutes earlier than scheduled tomorrow morning, and has said that he's seen Logan open and fully operational in worse conditions than what they're predicting. Maybe he's just placating me, but I'll take it. :rotfl:
