We are pleased to welcome Continental Airlines and Northwest Airlines as our new alliance partners. Beginning June 18, this partnership will offer more worldwide routes and destinations on which you can earn SkyMiles® toward Award Travel. And later this summer, you'll have the opportunity to redeem your miles for Award Travel on Continental- and Northwest-operated flights as well.
You'll earn the actual miles flown or a minimum of 500 miles per segment, whichever is greater, when you fly on Continental- and Northwest-operated flights. This includes flights operated by ExpressJet, Continental Micronesia, Mesaba Airlines, and Pinnacle Airlines. To earn SkyMiles when traveling on Continental- and Northwest-operated flights, be sure to include your SkyMiles number when making your reservation.
Our alliance with Continental and Northwest also offers you opportunities to earn Medallion Qualification Miles. Medallion® members can take advantage of special check-in and priority boarding privileges and continue to earn elite-tier mileage bonuses for all qualifying Continental and Northwest flights. Additionally, Crown Room Club® members and two guests will now have complimentary access to more than 50 Continental Presidents Clubs® and Northwest WorldClubs® worldwide when at least one segment is flown on a Continental- or Northwest-operated flight on the same day of travel.
