I am so peeved right now. I booked flights and reserved seats almost 3 months ago. I check frequently to make sure all is well.

Well, today things aren't good. I noticed our a couple of our seats still showed "available" online. They are preferred seats and we are elite/medallion members. I called Delta and was informed our seats were never confirmed, although my itinerary shows "our" seat assignments. Of course, now the flights are full and there are only a few seats scattered about the plane. My return flight show NO AVAILABLE SEATING. Making matters worse? This is a birthday trip for my brother who is special needs. I mentioned that fact and was told, "the only place handicap has any meaning is on the golf course.":mad:

I hope Member Satisfaction (DVC) doesn't return my call today. I'm NOT in a good mood.

When you called Delta, did you call the medallion phone #? I've had a couple changes for December flights and they were very accomodating.

I can't believe they made that handicap comment. :sad2:
 
Yes. I booked the flights throught Delta, but the seats are on a NWA flight. I also gave my Silver Elite number. Delta says it's not their fault....NWA says it's not their fault either!!!

But did you call the special silver elite phone # on the back of your card? I've found elite phone numbers are more accomodating than the general public phone #.

Everything's a mess with the merger. They put everything off on each another. I've tried calling back 3 times . Each time I get a recorded message, "due to technical difficulties.....blah, blah, blah". I will try again tomorrow.

Even calling the elite number doesn't help?
 
I know what you mean. I have been trying to check dh in for his DL flight in the morning. I click the check in button and it brings up NW page and shows the flights that he already completed. ugh.. guess he'll have to check in at airport. It does show his seat assignments, so at least that parts good.

He also wanted to go standby today for earlier flight, DL charged him 50.00 to go standby. I guess it wasn't considered standby because the flight wasn't full. His company pays for it, but he told gate agent that he will keep that in mind next time he books a flight. (which is a lot) We flew AirTran last week and got on an earlier flight, no problem & NO extra charge.
 
It does show his seat assignments, so at least that parts good.

My online, "up to date" itinerary info showed my seat assignments... Only I didn't really have any.:confused3 Delta said it was only a request and they were never confirmed.
 
You are guaranteed a seat on the plane, they do reserve the right to change the seating. As several have mentioned have you called the Silver Medallion line for help?
