I have tickets for nov 29-dec 16. I bought them with my debit card. So do I just get to eat the price I paid for my tickets? What would my options be? Is it to late to get travel ins. to cover my flight part? thanks, this is our first trip anywhere really and didn't know all this stuff.

Yes, it's too late for travel insurance to cover the strike threat.

What you do now is just wait and see. Right now you aren't out anything. Delta is still flying etc. If the situation changes you will know in the next few weeks most likely.

There is some good info on other threads here if you look through and also on mousesavers. I have tix in December on Delta too.

The one thing is you said you bought with a debit card. If they fold I think that could be a problem. If purchased with a credit card under some circumstances you can dispute with the cc company but I think (and I am no expert, just reading a lot the last few days here) you might be out the money.

Let's just hope they settle this, for the travellers and the families of those employed by Delta who would all be unemployed.
