Delta - hear of any changes?

My 9yr son and I are flying on Delta in 3 weeks. Anyone hear of any changes they will be implementing at TF Green? I just read that Southwest is not allowing any carry-ons. How are we going to get our children through 3 hours on a plane plus 2 in the airport without anything with them? No snacks, no activitity books, no gameboys! This will be very difficult. I was hoping he would keep himself busy so he wouldnt notice my anxiety!

I got through to a live voice this morning. The nice lady did say that they are doing more of a thorough check with carry on luggage. The amount/size of luggage both being checked in and brought on the plane has stayed the same. She did say to give 2 hours before flight leaves. Unfortunately I forgot to ask about ID for children and cannot get back to a live person again.

you can bring your childs birth certificate. or you may go to the DMV and get the photo id for them there. (its the non drivers license one) better safe than sorry at this point.
