Delta changed time?

I believe I read it here that if Delta changes your flight time by more than 5 minutes you can request a new flight. Is that true?

They have changed everyone of our flights by 6 minutes and I want to call to get on the non stop.

The last time I travelled with Delta the policy was that you could change your flight or get a refund only if they changed your flight time by more than 2 hrs.
 
I just checked the policy change on our flights and it says 1 hour from original arrival time.

I asked if they would anyways and she said no. It doesn't hurt to ask.
 
Really, 6 minutes...I mean no offense, but if you wanted the non-stop, you should have booked it.

AIrlines do not have to put you on a different flight, this is a courtesy done, but contractually they do not have to do it. Additionally, sometimes they will only let you switch to a different flight if the new flight has seats available in the same fare class you booked.
 

It really depends on who you get. I Delta flight change my return flight by 30 minutes earlier. It was already earlier than I like, 12:30pm but that was all I could get for low miles. I called and they said 90 minutes. So I waited and they changed it another half hour earlier, to 11:30am. I then called and said we had a breakfast scheduled for that morning and we would have to cancel it to make the flight. I looked online and there was now a 6:30pm flight for the lower miles. So I asked if we could be moved to that and they complied.

the last time i flew delta they changed our flight times 10 times and it was only a matter of a few min

but after they changed it the first time they took the seats we had reserved off
and then when we were finaly able to get seat assingments they wanted us to pay extra so that we could get seats side by side as we were traveling with kids

at the airport they fixed it and looked at our return flight and the lady couldnt understand why they did what they did

so she got us seated together again and locked them in and guess what when we checked in they were all shifted around again
 
Our last time flying with Delta to MCO our seats also go switched and we were no longer together. Now right after we make our reservations we call and have them link our seats so we don't get separated.

I told them if they didn't charge us a fee to transfer miles we could make it all under one ressie, but nooooo, DH makes the ressie for him and I do mine, we see who has the most miles and add DS to one of the ressies. I hate it but it beats paying over $500 per person for airlines. Using our miles is worth it and I wish we could get the non stop but I don't mind the 2 hours spent overall for a free flight.

You got the correct information. However, they may change your flight times again, so keep checking. If they keep changing by less than 1 hour, it might get to be an hour's worth of time from your original time (departure or arrival). It's at one hour that the change will be done without charge. You can always change your times with the payment of a change fee.

I agree that it doesn't hurt to ask. Until you get a lot closer to one hour, it's unlikely that they'll stray much from their published policy.
