I did book the flights last night (combo miles and paid between three airlines for 2 people from HNL to MCO and back).

My flights are still coming to around $750 but then I have First Class going from LAX to MCO and back

I have 3 hours layover minimum between airlines so plan on taking advantage of their lounges.

AND I will not count on them to keep me posted. I WILL continue to check. I did buy the insurance just in case.

Just booked my flight for $98! I WAS obsessively checking airline rates every week. NOW I guess I will obsessively check my Delta reservation and seat assignment every week !

If you bought a ticket in First Class you won't have anything to worry about. If it comes down to a revenue first and an upgraded first, the upgrade will take a walk to coach. Plus as far as swizzled seats, first class is the least impacted, since it is a small cabin.

I wouldn't worry about it, if I were you. Revenue trumps upgrades; because if they don't honor it, Delta needs to pay you the difference in fare, which is much more considerable than your purchased price.
