Hi folks

Just back from the greatest place on Earth - got back this morning.

Flew out with Delta on the 11th of May, having been recommended to use them, just as they added their EDI-JFK route. For those Scots (and northern Englanders) who might be finding flights a bit pricey, we got them for £334 per person to Orlando via JFK.

They use brand new planes for the big leg of the journey (at least they look it) and the legroom is fantastic in economy (I'm 6ft 4) as well as the in flight entertainment.

Downside was due to terrible luck we never made the Magic Kingdom in the two weeks at Caribbean Beach.

Anyway - gutted to be back, but hopefully going at Easter 09, and going for sure in January '10 for my 21st.

God bless Walt Disney for what he created!

I've never flown Delta, but mght give them a look, sounds good.

No MK?!?! That's madness!

How was CBR?

I know I'm quite depressed about it.

CBR was great as usual. Our room was next to a big bit of grass with some bushes and trees - ducks, bunnies, squirrels and a badger all living in there. One of the ducks even came into our room! The animals aren't scared of anything it seems.

Oh I hope thay are using that plane in October DH is 6'1 and DDad is 6'3, DS is heading that way as well, how did you find JFK to negotiate - we dont have long on the ground there so I'm hoping we make it OK.
We have done Continental through Newark in the past

JFK was easy. We stayed in New York on the way over but we had 1hr 45m on the way back. Our gate where we got off the plane was a 5 minute walk to the Edinburgh gate if that. Orlando flights and Edinburgh flights use the same terminal. There's not like 2 feet of legroom on the plane but I didn't have to adjust in the seat to get comfortable, knees weren't scrunched etc. And we got the red-eye home which was 40% full, so my mum took a row to herself and I took one.

But they were the best airline I've ever flown with. Easily.

I should add, in JFK there's a moving walkway between the terminal sections and they were switched off, and it still only took 5 mins, so with them on I'd say 2 mins.

Terminal 2 and 3, looking at the maps but they're adjoined so it's easy. Least stressful day of flying I've ever had.
