We check-in on Nov 3rd too. Staying to the 11th. Air Force too, but not retired. We are hoping to check in early on the 3rd so we can get to early opening at AK that day. Have our FP+ set for everyday and customized our MB (after you helped me get them to show up) the other day. Hoping to get the 700 loop. Hope you have as much fun as we plan to, maybe we will see you there.

DH, DS and I will be at staying in our RV and the grandparents will be in a cabin we have requested to be near each other so hopefully we get it so it will be easy to have DS go back and forth between both sites.

I did a solo trip at the end of August and luckily was picked for the Magicband test so it is nice to know and have tested them and FP+ before the family trip. Since DS is Autistic we will be getting the Guest Assitance card or the new disability assistance card depending what happens by November so I booked FP+ mostly meet N Greets and shows since you can't use the card for those attractions.

You'll probably see us at the kids pool activity area every evening. DS loved that kiddy slide so much we always end our day there. If you happen to be at the pool also send me a PM. I'll try and check it so we can possibly meet up if you like to. DH always makes fun of me and my imaginary friends.

Oh also made an extra stroller name sign for our golf cart rental. So you may see a golf cart with puzzle pieces with the 4 themepark icons in them. It says I know the power of dreams, I know someone with autism.

Live trip report November 2nd - 8th, 2013

I have to worn you I am not an interesting writer but love to share our family's fun vacation to Walt Disney World with you all. So now that you have been warned on with our cast of characters.

I should start with myself - Rae
I have been to WDW 11 times previously
Obviously my favorite character is Ariel
I am the family's Disney Nut and planner

DH - Steve
He has been to WDW about 11 times also.
His favorite character is Stitch
Not a Disney nut like me but since we met on our senior trip to WDW he owes WDW to us ending up together so we go every year.

Oddly enough, since we check-in the same day. ours came today too. We have our site reservation, FP+s, MBs, APs and dining in MDE ready to go. We are leaving in 10 days however to do some family visiting first, have to see the grandbeasties, DGD11, DGS8 and DGD (6/9th).

Just made my green Mickey ears sign with ArielRae on it. Also found a musket Mickey and added our family name to the bottom. Printed both out on some thick paper sealed them in plastic and plan to hang them out in front of our campsite.

Why does time have to go so slow. DH isn't picking up the RV until this weekend so I can't get packing until then. Everything is piling up in the corner of our house of everything that needs to be moved into it. DH is complaining I am packing all his clothes already.

I noticed you are doing character meet and greets. I know you are using fp+ for them. Can you report on how that worked.
I noticed several on this thread are going that time period. Hopefully in the camping forum you all can talk how fp+ and MB worked. On the other forums the topic always turns into a cyber fight and it is tough to go through the threads. The camping forum is more civil and easier to share info.

What would you like to know? I had the magicbands and FP+ for my August trip and did the meet & greet with Mickey and Minnie in AK with it. I did it in the morning. The regular line was about 10min and no one was in the FP line. I scanned my band and they told be to wait by the door someone would let me in soon. Once I was let in I was at the back of the line that was in to meet mickey & Minnie. There was about 4/5 families ahead of me. Doing FP I was able to pass most of the stand by line and able to wait in the part where they let a few families in at a time to meet the characters. Let me know if there is anything else about the experience you would like to know. Also will try and post about my experience at the princess meet & greet if you like. I can answer any questions about my experience in August with FP+ and magicbands.

Now from August with FP+ were you giving a suggested 3 attractions and then changed from there? If you changed how easy was it to change to a desired attraction and time. Did you do it from the phone app or from your PC? Any changes the day of at the park? Now this being said in August there were not as many individuals on the MB and FP+. Can you let us know if you see any changes.

I was given 3 FP+ for each park except for MK which I got 4 in August. I was able to change my FP choices over my phone without a problem. It is nice cause they initially make you schedule FP on the hour or 1/2hr. For example 9-10, 10-11, 11-12. So you can't get one at 10am and then one at 10:30am. But for example when you use your 9-10 FP say at 9am you can then move your 10-11 FP up sooner to maybe 9:15am or 9:30am as long as it is avalible for the time and attraction you want. This is how I did the Mickey meet and greet. I moved that FP earlier cause I used my safari FP right at the beginning of the time scheduled. On my last park day they had issues with the FP system so I went to one of the kiosk to find out why I couldn't move my FP times and they told me someone forgot to reset the system that night like they have to do every night so it took until noon that day before you could do any changing in the systems but you could still use the times you had scheduled. Now that all the resorts have access to this system I heard it is tougher to move things around. I will definetly try to report back about moving times around. I plan to do that on our MK day with the princess meets. Like to move my Cinderella FP up once we use our Rapunzel FP so we don't have to come back an hour later to use it. Same thing with ETWB once we use our Cinderella FP.
