I don't blame the Yankee Candle Company! You should not have done that! I'm surprised you didn't get arrested!

Darn it,

Liberty Belle, can you give us a recap?:surfweb:

OP, changing the title to delete, is like sending out a smoke signal.

Maybe we could just use our imaginations to guess at what the original post said.

Based on what Liberty Belle said about being surprised the OP didn't get arrested...

I'm speculating that the OP used a candle until it was half way finished and then decided that she didn't like the fragrance. Yankee Candle would not replace it, since it had been almost all used up.

So the OP enters the store with her used candle... places it on the shelf... and takes a new one out of the store.

Am I close? :upsidedow

Liberty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is even more exciting considering the OP's tag.. "Goes to the mall and sniffs Yankee Candles" :lmao:

LOL...your replies are making me laugh :). My original post was about making a job switch and I wanted some opinions. I live in a very small town and ended up deleting it.

But now thanks to all of you, the town knows about my Yankee Candle incident ;)

Do people in your town get arrested when they switch jobs? Sorry, couldn't resist. ;)

But now thanks to all of you, the town knows about my Yankee Candle incident ;)

Actually, they've known for quite some time. :rolleyes1 You know how small towns are. :magnify: The Yankee Candle sales gal is quite the town gossip :hyper2:, in case you weren't aware.

How anti climatic..I was just SURE it was more like she went into the Yankee candle store and when they wouldn't return/exchange the half used nasty smelling candle she pulled out a water gun that "looked" real and MADE them do it lol..I really need to cut back on my action movies...

I am thrilled with my YC spring fundraiser products. I participated in it to raise money for my son's spring band trip. I was my own best customer. :) I got Easter and Mother's Day gifts and treated myself to a Flickering Fish votive holder and some votive candles.

What I actually did is buy two of the Beach and one of the Fresh votive sampler collections, then I divvied them up between the gift recipients and myself. I'm burning Sun and Sand right now and it's heavenly. :cloud9:

Ok-so here is the real deal since I threw the gossipers off the track.

I have been at a job for about 7 years in a nearby town. I like it, I am respected, hopefully have a decent reputation. A similar position has opened in my town. The pay is more, by a substantial amount, no commute. However, the grass isn't always greener.

My salary will increase yearly in both places, but more in the one that has openings. DH is in sales, he makes a salary that will probably not increase much, plus he makes bonuses, but in sales you never know what a bonus may be. We pay the bills, but usually don't get any put in savings.

I don't know what to do. Is it worth leaving a good thing for more $$?? It would be a very similar position to what I have now. I need to apply in the next 2 weeks.

So there ya go! Not too exciting, but driving me crazy to the point that I can't sleep.
