Some of the ones I've seen go as follows: Send the money to pay for the dog and ship it. Dog gets tied up in customs or put into quarantine, money required to spring the dog. New message comes - to save time shipping the dog internationally we need to pay to have it registered in the country of origin in your name, send us some more money. New message comes - the dog is sick, it's yours now because you registered it, need money for vet bills and upkeep because we can't ship a sick dog. New message comes - the dog needs shots, more cash needed. Long time passes - the mark sends an email asking where the dog is - they get a message back saying we don't know, we shipped you the dog, we need money to track it. New message comes - the dog died in transit and the state or country cremated it, they're sending us this bill, it was your dog because it's registered to you, we want the cremation fees back. Oh and maybe we could replace the dog...here's a photo of one we just got in.
