I used to worry about someone taking my antennea topper but really evveryone seems to have them. And after one ride home, it was half enough "road dust" on it that no one would really want to touch it!! :rotfl:

We had a pink Disney princess one for a couple of years but lately have been sporting a pink cupcake with Minnie ears. :lovestruc

First of all, I love your husband's pictures! When I saw that post it made me laugh out loud because that is just like Ben...until I got him a video camera....then he drove me crazy and wouldn't put the darn thing down! If he forgot to take video of something he would walk back and start over so he could record it. :confused3

I loved the tour of ASMusic! I relived our December trip while looking at your pictures! We stayed right by the "giant man" and boy was it a FAR walk to to main building! I think that we will be putting out the extra cash to stay in preferred rooms after that experience!! Overall we agree with your family though...we enjoyed it, but not enough to stay again. Maybe in the future when we have a family, but not any time soon! If we do a value next time, its back to Pop for us! However, I've been feeling the urge to upgrade to atleast a moderate next time...maybe a deluxe for a few nights if its our honeymoon!

Too funny about the video! New toys are fun stuff for them, I guess!

I did not expect that resort to be so big! It would definitely be better to pay for closer. :thumbsup2

A Deluxe for your honeymoon would be awesome! Pop is great though. The boys have been complaining that we're not staying there anymore. Hoping to get 'em back there next month.

I was so worried about starting antenna toppers for that reason, but John really wanted one. We bought three over the course of his obsession. It does seem silly that someone would take them after the beating they get on the road, right? This one was soooo cute though! He looked more toy than topper. I'm giving away the future again, but I will eventually find it somewhere else. And yep, someone on my street stole him one night! I still can't believe it! We've stopped using them. :sad1:

I love all the new cupcake stuff at Disney! It makes me wish for a little girl!

I am really surprised and so sorry this happened!!
I just don't get people sometimes. You don't take things that aren't yours! I am sure Blake and Andrew understand that concept! What happens to people when they get older?

Looking forward to reading more of the trip report!

We are quickly closing in on the end of our passes. I was ready to not renew and was going to stick to my guns. Then I hear about he Phineas and Ferb meet and greet and Pixar weekend at Epcot. Siiiiiiiiiiggggghhhhh.

It is wild that someone would take something like this, but I really had a feeling they might. We noticed someone had been playing with it when we stayed at Pop Century in February, too. It was pulled up and turned around. He was just irresistible, I guess. :sad2:

Pixar Weekend?? I saw that P&F were coming, but I know nothing of this. Off to read up!

I know how you feel though. They're always trying to tempt us to stick with it! We have exactly 109 days left. I feel kinda nuts that I calculated the number of days this afternoon. I'm sooo sad right now that it's almost over and might've watched the MK welcome show on youtube five times today. The first few notes have me tearing up! I wish the boys didn't have to get any older. I'd keep renewing if not for school, but this looks like the end for us. Good luck sticking to it. This isn't an easy thing to let go!

October 21st, 2010 * Thursday * Day 13

The sunrise was amazing this morning. I tried to catch some pictures, but none seemed to do it justice. It was telling us that this day would be great. The boys decided to confirm this by sleeping the entire ride. Sleeping on the ride always makes these early days easier. We’d left at exactly 7:23am!

CIMG2247.jpg

We parked at the TTC and headed up to monorail.

CIMG2252.jpg

Today was the day of the Nemo hat!

CIMG2259.jpg

“Monorail, where are you??”

Does your family try to guess which color you’ll get? We do! I don’t think we’ve ever gotten this right though. Today was...

CIMG2261.jpg

CIMG2264.jpg

Lime green, right?

The ride was uneventful, but we did miss the welcome show this visit. That’s too bad, but I’m glad my husband chose not to speed us to Disney this time. Soon we were walking down Main Street USA!

CIMG2266.jpg

CIMG2268.jpg

Bet you can’t guess what time it was!

John directed us all the way to the castle. Different, right? We don’t/didn’t take this path very often. I decided to turn around and add a crooked Main Street pic to go with all my crooked castle pictures.

CIMG2277.jpg

CIMG2278.jpg

Nemo hat thought it was pretty neat to be going through the castle!

CIMG2280.jpg

He was a little worried this might fall on our heads though. Haha..

CIMG2281.jpg

Fantasyland was already full of guests, but waits were great. Despite it all, we had one mission in mind. One where lines are never much of an issue! IASW was open again! We could wait to ride it again and see what had changed.

CIMG2283.jpg

Before we could take that journey, FPs for PPF were needed. I gave Andrew our passes and he took off!

CIMG2285.jpg

While Andrew was busy ensuring a short ride into Neverland for later, I glanced over at the next FP machine. Someone’s KTTW card was still there. Oops. I’ve noticed this a few times in the past. I wonder how far they get before they notice their ticket isn’t with them. I pulled it out and sent John to give it to the CM nearby. Maybe the machines should beep if you leave your card there too long. Okay, maybe not. That could get annoying. ;)

FPs tucked in my bag, we were off to IASW!

CIMG2289.jpg

CIMG2290.jpg

CIMG2293.jpg

As far as the new changes, my family hates them! I’m sure everyone knows how it works now, so I won’t explain it. A big part of IASW for us, as I’m sure you noticed last year, is that clock. We’ve asked to stand aside just to see it open, and now you’re stuck waiting in line behind it! Not fun! At least the ride itself is still the same exciting adventure. The boys had fun pointing out what they’d missed.

We even noticed someone had returned!
CIMG2297.jpg

CIMG2303.jpg

From here, the boys really wanted to ride Dumbo. With a wait time only at twenty minutes, we went for it. John chose to wait it out, but moved alone the chain with us until we were farther into the line.

CIMG2305.jpg

CIMG2309.jpg

Nice teamwork on the Dumbo control, right? Nope. They fight over who gets to be in charge everytime we all ride together! Since we don’t Dumbo all that often, I can never remember who is next either. Once we’re in the air, they usually settle down about it.

Expansion pics! (Did you see the Beast’s castle pics that are up now?? I can’t wait ‘til it’s all finished!!)

CIMG2311.jpg

CIMG2313.jpg

CIMG2315.jpg

Fun stuff. John actually took his camera out to take pics while we were on the ride! Unfortunately, all he got was a bunch of pics of me taking pics. Haha.. Maybe this is why he doesn’t take many pictures? :lmao:

...next post...

Back on the ground, where would you go next? We were going to visit Pooh and Eeyore! There was only a five minute wait when we made it over. Nice morning for low waits! As we joined the line, I overheard a guest asking the CM in charge where the FP machines were. She told them that they weren’t using them for Pooh’s ride this day. Huh? The reason was that crowds were low enough that they wouldn’t be needed. I found that odd but never did remember to walk over and check. It seemed like such a crazy thing. Maybe they were shut down that day.. I dunno.
CIMG2324.jpg

CIMG2325.jpg

CIMG2326.jpg

CIMG2330.jpg

CIMG2334.jpg

CIMG2336.jpg

“Hooray!”

CIMG2337.jpg

Hooray for Pooh, too!

Love that ride!

We stuck around in the store after. Blake went crazy over an Eeyore and I picked out the mug John would get me for Christmas. ;)

CIMG2339.jpg

It was about that time, so a quick stop to check in on Andrew’s girl was planned. On the way, we spotted some work being done on the tea cups. There were people on top of it, but I didn't take a pic when we got closer. WIsh I had. It was neat.

CIMG2344.jpg

The White Rabbit was out, but no Alice. Andrew didn’t care to visit him without his girl! There were only two or three people waiting, but we just moved on into Tomorrowland.

CIMG2347.jpg

It’s racetime!

Before we could race cars, the boys had to race each other! They can’t resist lining up and running on this.

CIMG2348.jpg

CIMG2349.jpg

Can you guess who won?

CIMG2362.jpg

CIMG2366.jpg

On this ride, Andrew is stuck with me. I don’t see a ride with Blake’s steering and my peddle control ending well!

CIMG2367.jpg

CIMG2376.jpg

CIMG2383.jpg

As we neared the end of our race, those crazy people behind me bumped into our car! I turned back to tell them to behave and saw Blake trying to yell at me. I couldn’t figure it out then, but he made sure to explain later.

“Move it, old lady!”

I have a feeling his father must’ve inspired that one.

We asked the kids where they’d like to go next and they both shouted out the same thing. We were going on the Peoplemover! It’s every kid’s dream ride, right? Haha..

CIMG2389.jpg

CIMG2399.jpg

I love Nemo hat day. He was too adorable with it!

CIMG2405.jpg

We’ve declared this the Little Einsteins’ Rocket. Blake loves that show, even if he never really watches it.

CIMG2412.jpg

CIMG2417.jpg

Napping? Yeah right! They think they’re so clever..

CIMG2420.jpg

CIMG2430.jpg

Why don’t they have a claw machine like this at Pizza Planet??

Of course, if were at the Peoplemover, my family had only one destination in mind next!

Coming soooooon.. Uhhh.. more of this exciting day!

My family spends way too much time at MK! What are they pumping into the air there? Maybe it's the water.. We haven't been to WDW in eleven days now and all I can think about it getting back to MK again! We'll try to break this up a bit later in the year. ;)

/

CIMG2430.jpg

Why don’t they have a claw machine like this at Pizza Planet??

Right?!?!?!! They could make tons of money on it too...cause I would totally play that game a million times to win a little green alien. And I NEVER do claw games cause I figure they're so hard to win it would be a waste of money for me.

I don't think there's such a thing as way too much time in the Magic Kingdom!! Reading your trip report always makes me miss it soooo much!!!

Doesn't it seem completely ridiculous that they didn't put one there?? It sounds like such an easy money maker for them, too. I think it everytime we walk near Pizza Planet. Silly Disney.. Maybe they're trying to avoid guests crying when they don't win? I suppose I could see it being trouble, too.

Glad you think so! I feel like a broken record right now. Looking over our Disney day list on my desk, we do MK soooooo much. On our longer stay last month, I really tried to avoid it and do other things. Andrew actually cried when we got home, saying it wasn't a good Disney trip if we don't go to MK a lot!

We're all addicts, I guess.. Last night, John was telling me that he'll probably have to throw me in Disney rehab when these passes expire. Hmmm.. If we just renew them, I'd never have to go through Mickey withdrawal, right? ;)

Yes!! I totally agree!

We spend a lot of time at Animal Kingdom (my daughter's favorite) and lately DHS. I am addicted to the new Pixar Parade!

Blake looks cute holding the Eeyore.

Pizza Planet doesn't have a alien claw game? I've never been there, but you would think they would!

Are you really? It's gotten such terrible reviews now that all the interaction and dancing is gone. We just saw it last month for the first time. I LOVE that the Up characters are in it!

Thanks! I think he's adorable. ;)

Nope! No Alien claw game. They do have a little claw type game, but it's full of the typical junk you find in those things. :(

Bet you thought we were going to Buzz next, right? So wrong.. My addiction isn't quite THAT bad! It was time for the Carousel of Progress!

CIMG2431.jpg

CIMG2434.jpg

We started in this direction until someone else was spotted. Stitch was just wandering around and stopped in front. We had to visit! No one seemed very interested in him, but a few gathered around when we walked over. I read a lot about how much some wish the characters would go back to simply wandering around, but I'm so glad they don’t. I guess I need the order and crowd control. Just walking up feels like we’re going to interrupt something!

CIMG2437.jpg

Andrew must’ve still had MNSSHP and trick-or-treating in mind. He ran up and told Stitch that Buzz had eaten all his candy. Does that make any sense to you? Me either! Stitch acted silly, shook his head, and motioned to himself. He had eaten all the candy! It may not have made much sense, but they both had fun talking about it!

CIMG24421.jpg

Love this pic.

CIMG2445.jpg

Can’t leave without a nose kiss! It's amazing that he isn't sick after every visit.

Stitch is annoying, but he’s pretty cute and fun, too.

Time for the Carousel of Progress!

Much like the monorail game, the boys have a color guessing game here, too. Which door would we get?

This one?
CIMG2448.jpg

Nope. It was still turning. It confuses Andrew everytime. Haha.. He had called the green door when it started to move so this wasn’t a bad thing.

CIMG2450.jpg

We got it!
CIMG2451.jpg

CIMG2453.jpg

We love this show! Blake is especially crazy over it and loves singing “great big, beautiful tomorrow” each time it starts. He’s more fun to watch than the show itself. There are a couple points where Andrew goes nuts. When we learn that now only takes three days to go from NY at CA, you can count on him speaking up.

“That’s even faster!”

Those exact words. Every. Single. Time. Just in case you didn’t realize three days is less than seven, Andrew is here for you. :thumbsup2

The other is just moments later when he learns we can hear news all the way from Pittsburgh. He acts shocked, even though he knows every line during that part. It’s too funny. We lose him at the end with the video game. I don’t think he pays attention to anything else when Grandma starts playing!

Everyone was starting to feel ready for lunch when we left the show. (Ride?) A quick stop for Buzz FPs, and we began to move across the park. We couldn’t possibly have lunch anywhere else. On to CHH!

CIMG2455.jpg

FP Master!

CIMG2457.jpg

CIMG2465.jpg

It's the castle!

John planned to walk around in front of the castle. He said it would be the shortest path. What do you think? I probably would’ve wandered back by the tea cups and all the way through Fantasyland. I guess it was good he’s usually in charge of this direction thing.

CIMG2469.jpg

So wild to actually catch this without anyone standing in front for pictures!

Something was going on as we began to pass in front of the castle..

CIMG2471.jpg

Dream Along With Mickey! We never make plans to watch this, but have caught it quite a few times this year. Lunch was put off a bit as we all stopped to watch the rest.

CIMG2477.jpg

Anyone else think Minnie is kinda dumb in this? I never understand why she goes over to Maleficent like that. And why doesn’t Mickey play brave protector and try to stop her? He just backs up. That always makes me laugh. If Minnie’s going to put herself in danger, I guess Mickey will just stay put!

CIMG2487.jpg

CIMG2495.jpg

CIMG2498.jpg

When the show was done, we headed back to CHH!

CIMG2499.jpg

CIMG2501.jpg

CIMG2502.jpg

CIMG2504.jpg

Lunch was the usual with one amazingly screamy baby on the side. A man was sitting alone, probably saving a table, with a boy just a bit smaller than Blake. He seemed to be trying everything he could think of to quiet the child, but nothing was working. The poor little guy was obviously very sleepy by the look of his cute chubby face.

I couldn’t make up my mind about this. Yes, babies scream, but we’d never stay inside with one of ours’ if they were carrying on like that! On the other hand, he was alone and probably instructed not to move. I felt bad for him. I’m sure he was just as conflicted, with the added embarrassment of everyone watching this!

Eventually, his female half showed up with some food. As soon as she had the baby in her arms, he took off. Haha.. Poor guy. We were out of here as soon as the boys finished, so I don’t know if that baby ever did quiet down. Hope their day got better!

CIMG2510.jpg

Love the theme cups, if you didn’t notice.

...next post...

The boys wanted to ride POTC after lunch, so we were off to Adventureland! We cut through some restrooms for a quick stop. John took both of the boys, of course, so I was out waiting before they joined me. While standing here, I was something very interesting going on. There was a bench with a bag on it, completely surrounded by CMs! Scary, right? Since I couldn’t go on without my family, I was nosy and tried to figure out what was going on. I was trying not to seem obvious about it, at least. After a bit, I still had no clue why exactly they were guarding this bag. John and the boys joined me, so I’ll never know. We turned to POTC.

CIMG2512.jpg

hidden Mickey shadow?

POTC was terrible this time! I put all the blame on the group behind us. They were the most obnoxious group I’ve ever met at WDW. They talked nonstop, and seemed to be in a battle to see who could be loudest! The girl behind me was holding onto the back of our bench and pulled my hair twice. I turned to ask her not to, but she didn’t understand me. Or pretended not to.. I can’t tell. They were speaking spanish, but I don’t think you needed to know the language to understand not to pull someone else’s hair? I could be wrong.. Today was definitely a noisy people day!

We headed across to BTMRR next!

CIMG2528.jpg

CIMG2530.jpg

The wait was only at ten minutes! Noisy people or not, this was an awesome wait time day. Andrew and I ran to the line while John and Blake grabbed a FP round that we wouldn’t end up using. Oh well. I wonder what percentage of FPs go unused. I know I contribute to it. Please forgive me...

CIMG2531.jpg

CIMG2533.jpg

CIMG2535.jpg

CIMG2536.jpg

CIMG2537.jpg

CIMG2538.jpg

CIMG2539.jpg

I kept my camera out for the ride that time. Feels just like we’re on it, right? Haha.. You’re only missing all the “screamy girls.”

We nearly ran into John as we left the ride. He was running up to someone with a backpack. Apparently a family had left it down near a bench when they gathered up to leave. John had been talking to the man. He quite possibly saved another CM/backpack standoff from happening. Yay husband! They were pretty happy to have their stuff back, too!

CIMG2542.jpg

With a few sets of fastpasses to use up before leaving, my family moved back across the park again!

CIMG2550.jpg

Scary stop!

The. Haunted. Mansion. Stopped. Repeatedly. The. Entire. Ride. It wasn’t much fun. We never got stopped anywhere good to make it fun. Blake didn’t scream in the stretching room that day either. Yuck! We should’ve skipped that one.

Next ride, please!

CIMG2553.jpg

The FP line was pretty long this time. I blame all those annoying people that show up after their return window has expired. Oh wait. That would be us. :rolleyes1 The wait was interesting, at least.

“Excuse me?”

I didn’t think this person was speaking to me, but I turned anyway. It was in the part of the FP line where you’re beside the standby line. A woman was actually trying to get my attention. How special. She was almost whispering and I swallowed a giggle. Are standby and FP people not allowed to speak to each other? I felt the urge to check my belly for a star. ;) Then she asked a question.

“Do you have to pay for fastpasses?”

That poor woman! I felt awful that she didn’t know and was standing in this forty minute line. I explained it to her before our line moved ahead. Hope their trip wasn’t spent in line so much after that. I can totally understand her though. John and I had no clue what FP was about on our first trip either!

CIMG2557.jpg

CIMG2558.jpg

IASW was nuts at this point, but we weren’t ready to leave Fantasyland just yet. Mickey’s PhilharMagic sounded perfect!

CIMG2566.jpg

CIMG2567.jpg

CIMG2568.jpg

CIMG2569.jpg

Blake LOVED it! The boys call this the “Mickey Magic Show.” Nifty since a Mickey’s Magic Show was just in area. I think.. I could be wrong. We didn’t go to that one.

What is just across from this? Time for the carousel!

CIMG2575.jpg

And the magic numbers...

CIMG2578.jpg

CIMG2581.jpg

We paused at the sword in the stone after. Andrew has to give it try whenever we’ve over here!

CIMG2586.jpg

He’s never managed to pull it out, but we did meet a little boy who had! He said he’d pulled it out earlier in the day. How awesome! I would love to see a little kid pull it out just once. I don’t care who gets it. I just want to see it happen! The boy was so excited and had come back to show his uncle. Sadly, the magic wasn’t with him this time. He tried and tried but couldn’t get it to come out. Still neat to meet someone who got it!

Coming Soon!! More of lucky day thirteen! "Sit back if you can. Most people only use the edge of their seat!"

I've Been doing really well with my Disney craving, but those Mickey's philharmagic photos didn't help at all!! That is my very most favorite part of WDW. Even more than soarin. Just looking at the pictures I could feel the feeling in the air and could almost smell the gray stuff! I could just watch that movie over and over and over.

We've NEVER been on/seen (I'm not whether I shuld call it a ride or a show either!!) the Carousel of Progress!?!? We always seem to just go right by it...I'm going to have to make a point of doing it on my next trip!

I LOVE that picture of the boys with Stitch! Too cute!

Oh, and you have to love those loud hairpullers!! They were clearly never taught the difference between inside and outside voices! And when people pull my hair in situations like that it makes me crazy!!

It looks like you guys got a lot done on this day!! :)

I'm sorry! :sad1: I love that this is your favorite thing though! Start planning a trip! Andrew isn't a fan of this one, so we don't manage it much. We once planned a Disney Day because he "owed" me a visit to Mickey's Philharmagic and we didn't even do it! :sad2: What's your favorite part? Blake goes wild over the Ariel scene.

I can't believe you've never done that! Okay, I really can. It's not made out to be the most exciting thing, huh? It's so cute. I hope you enjoy it!

We did manage a lot this day! I didn't really realize it all until I started typing it up, but it was a pretty full day. We left at 4, so I think we did pretty good!

CIMG2589.jpg

CIMG2591.jpg

CIMG2593.jpg

Wandering around Fantasyland, Snow White’s ride had too much of a wait for us and Pooh was at twenty minutes. We weren’t into that wait either. It seemed that our MK day was coming to an end. MNSSHP had the park closing earlier to regular guests, but we thought we’d last longer than this.

Back to Tomorrowland my little family went. It was time to feed my addiction! Andrew and I would ride alone first with the FPs. I'd take Blake next since we only had the three and John wanted to skip. In a way, it's going to be fun once Blake needs a ticket. More FPs!! :thumbsup2

I didn’t manage that magic score, but did do pretty darn good!

CIMG2594.jpg

^Meeeee!!

CIMG2595.jpg

^Andy-Roo.. He spent the ride cracking up as I got excited over my score. How can you not get excited when you're getting ssooo close to the max! I guess I was being silly. ;)

The park must’ve been reaching that magic moment when regular guests are leaving, but party guests aren’t filing in yet. Buzz was only at ten minutes when we were finished! Everyone, including John, jumped in that wait and we were soon battling again. I rode with Blakers this time.

CIMG2597.jpg

^Mee.. Fewer e’s due to lower score. ;)

CIMG2598.jpg

^Note that Blake did better than Andrew! hahahaha..

Craving something yummy before calling the day over, it was funnel cake time again! It's our go-to yummy treat. I've been wanting to try this famous Dole whip for ages, but I never seem to remember it when we're at MK! I suppose we don't spend a ton of time in that part of the park to remind me.

CIMG2600.jpg

CIMG2602.jpg

I loved these.

CIMG2606.jpg

At Sleepy Hollow, Andrew and I got in line while John and Blake found a table. I loved the little pumpkin set up they had.

CIMG2609.jpg

There weren’t a lot of people in line, but we did wait a bit after paying. The CM at the register started chatting with Andrew. Andy-Roo was getting tired, so he wasn’t the most talkative little guy at the time. She also had a pretty thick accent that made their conversation tough. He just couldn’t follow! Despite all of that, she kept going on about how cute and sweet he was. I found it silly really. Of course I believe I have the two cutest children in all the world, but nothing was happening to inspire this. Then she asked a question.

“Do you like chocolate or vanilla best?”

“I really like colorful the best!”

Right.. I think he meant the superman stuff he’d gotten at the beach recently. I explained of the three she said only so he picked vanilla. She smiled and walked away from the counter. Andrew started pulling on my shirt to come near him.

“I think they’re going to give me icecream!” he excitedly whispered.

Silly boy.. I kinda figured that one out, too. I think this CM was just waiting to give someone, anyone, a magical moment. Cute or not, Andrew was here at the right time! We collected our yummy funnel cake and the CM handed him a cup of vanilla ice cream to go along with it. He thanked her a few times and ran to show his father.

We all enjoyed our yummy snacks. Andrew was kind enough to split his icecream with Blake now and then, too. Eventually, it was time to begin the slow walk out of the park.

I think I love the MK at Halloween more than any other time of year. The weather is starting to get better and the decorations are adorable. This day was perfect for wait times, too. It was tough saying “See ya real soon!” to the park this time. I knew we wouldn’t be back before Mickey had packed it all away and declared Christmas on the Magic Kingdom.

^If you're gonna stare, you should at least smile. ;)

To brighten my mood over leaving, I declared it race time again. John and Blake took off to the ferry boat while Andrew and I ran up to the monorail! I did make a huge mistake and went to the express monorail instead of the resort this time...

...next post! I'm flyin through this one! ;)

I don’t know why I did it. Even with a stop, the resort is faster with the way we always seem to get stuck on the express. Today was no different. As soon as we sat down, the “one minute” wait announcement was made. Yuck! You know how that goes. We waited much longer than one minute! Luck was with us enough that we still managed to beat them to the TTC!

In fact, we beat them by so much that I wondered if they hadn’t beaten us and headed to the car already! We wandered around a bit and looked out to MK and debated. Shouldn’t there be a boat coming across the water already? Andrew and I went back and forth on going to the car, but ultimately decided it would be best to wait for at least one boat to be sure.

We waited a long time before anything headed our way!
