Hi does anybody know what the problem is with the virgin manchester flights - yesterday it was 2 hours delay and today it is 5 hours delay. We are travelling on Saturday on this flight and are worried we are going to have to spend hours at the airport. I can't see how they can get back on time until the plane does not fly on Sunday. :confused3

I don't know but relax ... wouldn't you rather they took their time and fixed any mechanical / technical problems before take off? Just take a good book / magazine / gameboy or whatever else you need to keep your mind occupied and go with the flow.

It'll be fine :thumbsup2

Very difficult to say unless you are actually caught up in the delays as to the cause.

If bad weather means the flight from Orlando takes off late then that will have a knock-on effect on the Manchester departure times too.

It might be mechanical or weather but whatever it is Virgin want to get you there as quickly and safely as possible.
We had a 2 hour delay in August due to bad weather, we took off when it had improved. After taking off eventually we were struck by lightening, massive bang and sparks coming of the wing. Would not have wanted to fly through it 2 hours early when they said the weather was really bad.
I have also had a 7 hour delay due to mechanical problems but rather that then having problems mid-air.
Never fly with me, I attract the delays. :rotfl2:
Hope you get off on time.

The take off time from Orlando being in the early evening 18:15, can often mean there are delays due to evening storms etc
