Hi ladies.

A little background, Bob and I got married in January, at my parents home where we had a small wedding with about 20 people. We were going to do this and a DFTW in 2 1/2 years but in the the end decided to not go ahead with this.

We were going to go on our Honeymoon next month, but circumstances beyond our control we had to cancel that. We rescheduled for October, but my mother has been diagnosed with Cancer and is terminal. Not knowing how long she has, we decided to put off our trip again, and decided for January, and do a Honeymoon/1st Anniversary trip.

Bob has give me the go ahead to start planning, I think this is his way of giving me something else to think about right now with my Mom so ill, and well she keeps asking me questions about our plans (she said she needs to hear fun things right now...I think that is why she has been calling my cousin who just got engaged).

Anywho...here are my questions. For those of you who did a Honeymoon Photoshoot, do you know if you can do one at any time or are they restricted to those who just married and are honeymooning right after their wedding. Also do you know where I can find more information?

I was also thinking about doing a desert party at Epcot. I know that once our core group of disney fanatic friends find out our dates and that that there is a weekend in the middle we will have company (which we will love as only one of them was at our wedding and we missed those who weren't there). Also where can I find more information on this.

I am thinking about buying Lurkyloo's e-book.....she rocks (if you read this Carrie...I want to be you when I grow up!!!!)

Any advice or suggestions to make this a dream trip are welcome.

I am sorry about your mom!

On the bright side - you can certainly do a honeymoon photoshoot.

Carrie's book is great. The book is not as funny as her trip report - but it might be fun reading for a while to take your mind off things.

This is everthing I know/have learned about dessert parties at epcot -

You can see the locations and min max numbers on DFTW website under financing and it has the site rental fees.

Its a min of $22 per guest for food and I think another $11.50 or $12.50 to view the fireworks.

The chocolate peanutbutter marshmellow squares are supposed to be amazing.

You cannot have chocolate fountains outside for health reasons - only inside.

The Morocco location is not good for children or for people who have to sit because the wall is highish.

You can also do wishes dessert parties at the GF in the marina, or you could charter the Grand 1 yacht for less than some of the epcot site rental fees and have a dessert party there for 18-20 people.

Then there is the fantasmic dessert party at the studios.

Hope this helps!

Hmmmm never thought of the Yacht!!! That might be fun...even if it ends up just being us.

Do you know if I have to call DFTW to book these things?

You can call Disney Photo to book a Honeymoon session PM me if you want the email address btw.
