What amusement parks have you been to that no longer exist?

I remember the following from So Cal:

Marineland of the Pacific
Japanese Village & Deer Park
Enchanted Village Movie Animal park (replaced Deer Park, lasted about a year)
Busch Gardens (closed for brewery expansion)
Santa's Village

In FL:

Splendid China

Those still operating, but with different owners:

Magic Mountain (now a Six Flags)
Knott's Berry Farm (now owned by Cedar Point)
Sea World (now owned by Busch)

The Woodland Park Zoo used to have a ride area. I don't think anyone misses it given the great animal attractions that took it's place. I believe it was extra to ride and they were only the cheap carnival type rides.

There was a place just over the border in Vancouver Canada that was getting a lot of attetnion at one time. Now I wonder if it's still open since I hear never hear anything about it anymore.

Dogpatch in Arkansas. Home of Daisy Mae and Lil' Abner.

yup Astroworld and Waterworld here in Houston! I can't believe it's gone! :sad1:

Hey, I went to Astroworld!

Opryland. ::yes::

Opryland? I didn't know that it closed down. Hmmm.

An auction of park stuff was just held this weekend - the land is more valuable as a condo and comercial development than as an amusement park... :sad1:

I still miss my little local amusement park - Nunleys. It closed down 1995. I grew up going there, and as I got older, went on dates there to their mini golf "park".

Springlake in Oklahoma City
DogPatch USA
Opryland

Crescent ParK, Lincoln Park, Whalom Park, Rocky Point Park (Shore Dinner Hall :goodvibes )
I know there were others in RI & Mass--
is Enchanted Forest in RI still operating?

I remember Santa's Village in California

Here in Florida:

Circus World in Haines City (it was also Boardwalk & Baseball for a while before it closed) That big wooden roller coaster right off the interstate was how I always knew we were almost at Disney!

Also, from when I was very little, and I don't even know if it counts as a theme park: Six Gun Territory in Ocala. That place was so cool, with cowboy stuntment and stuff like that!

Detroit area:

Edgewater Park
Bob Lo Island
