I remember Old Chicago from way back when. Went there for a birthday party when I was in Junior High School. I remember how loud it was in there with the roller coasters, etc. I don't think anyone from the Chicago area mentioned Adventureland in Addison (or is it Medinah) on lake street. Went there a number of times in the early 70s before they razed the place.
OLD CHICAGO!! We went a number of times... a friend of mine upchucked on the swings... laugh... it was his first date with his now wife...
Let's see... I believe all these have been mentioned - my folks were big on taking us to amusement parks... laugh..
(Chicago Area)
-Old Chicago
-Dispensa's Kiddie Kingdom
-Adventure Land on Lake St. - we went there quite a bit - it was so much fun - my cousin and I would ride the Spider over and over!!
-Enchanted Forest (during the summer's I went to daycamp at Wentworth Park in Chicago - they would take us to Enchanted Forest once a summer)
-Playland on Harlem just south of 22nd St. I think
-There was a place that was out Archer Rd. on the way to Willow Springs... don't remember the name.. it seemed hard to get to because it seemed like it was in the middle of a bunch of expressways..
Never made it to Riverview...

It was already TOO seedy when I was little and my folks wouldn't take us.
Arkansas
Dogpatch - we went 3 times over the years... we really liked it.
Myrtle Beach
Was Magic Harbor the one attached to the campground? If so we would stay at the campground next store - I think it is called Lakewood? We would walk over next door to an amusement park - it was a load of fun too!
