Don't want to be late for our 9:30 HDD on our first evening. So, whaddya think? ...

* take our vehicles (there's 10 of us) and drive
* Bus to Downtown Disney, and then to Ft. Wilderness
* Bus to MK, and then to Ft. Wilderness via boat

Yeah, it's a little thing, but I thought that if any of you had worked this out, I could save a planning step or two.

Thanks!

We found taking the bus to HDD took a LOT of time both directions, so I would definitely drive if you have that capability.

Probably not the fastest route, but our party at kids in strollers, so what we did was walk to epcot to get the monorail(that way no folding strollers up and down), to mk then we took the boat to FWL. The boat drops you off right there!

Keep in mind if you drive, you still have to catch an interior bus. (Use to be Chip or Dale bus). You will park in the main parking lot and catch a bus to the show. Allow 30 minutes for this.

We just got back from WDW and we also had a 9:30 HoopDeeDoo reservation. We did not have small children, but there were five of us. We drove to WL (wanted to check it out) and then took the launch to FW. That was great, but the launch does not run after the show. We took a bus back to WL and then picked up our car. It worked pretty well for us, but make sure you allow enough time to wait for the launch at WL in case it just left or something. They do have busses waiting for just about whereever you want to go after the late show.

Yep. That worked out nicely for us. I hate to drive because the lot is so far away from the Hall. We usually take a bus or monorail to the MK, then take the boat over to FW and it drops you off right there at the Hall. The boat took an extra long time to pick us up though so allow enough time for that. We went to the show in January and it was wonderful. We worried how we would get back as the MK closes early in January. But they had buses waiting outside the Hall which went directly back to the resorts. They are doing this more often now, although I wouldn't count on it. But it's always a nice surprise when those busses are waiting for you to take you home. Hope you enjoy the show.

We did it in November. Everything was in alignment for the trip there, as the bus showed up as we arrived at the stop, and the boat was waiting and left very soon after we boarded.

There was a wait for the boat on the return, and as we went to the early show the MK was still open.

It doesn't matter which route you take because it is a long trip either way. Disney doesn't seem to have perfected a way to transport passengers from BCV and BWV to Hoop de doo. We were there in March for the 5:30 show and it took us 2 hours to get back to the hotel and it was freezing waiting for the launch out on the dock at Ft. Wilderness.
Just plan for a long time for transportation. I would drive if I could.
