Deevy See Freaks Me Out

I was a little surprised to see her but she reminded me of some of the street entertainers in Hollywood Studios. I thinkthey thought she'd be fun. I do not mind a little of that. I just hope she isn't on all the billboards, signs and TV giving 24 hour tours of DVC, LOL.

That was my impression exactly!

Sort of an "over the top" hammy performance. I guess I'm not as offended by it as so many people seem to be. I took it as Disney having a little fun with the announcement.

Beats the standard press release, IMHO.

I think we watched it 4 times at our house. I think she is just a hoot and everytime she gives that big grin and squeals, I just laugh.

And as excited as she is about BLT, I am about THV. I am so glad we own at SSR now so we can get the 11 month window for them!

DD9 has already called "top bunk" and she can't wait to see if we can rent golfcarts. She and I are going alone in June, 2009 and she wanted to stay there. I did have to explain we won't use that many points for 2 of us.

She has been around since Member Homecoming in 2004. Definitely based on the street entertainers at the studios as I believe she used to be one.

I haven't read much about THV. Since they seem to be a part of SSR, if you already own at SSR, can you book them at the 11 month window?

As a street performer/entertainment she might be ok at the studios - but what was really lame about that video was the script... it's such a shame since Disney is such a good entertainment company in so many ways - you'd think they could get some better synergy going between divisions for this kind of thing. Oh well.

But the Imagineer with her needed some life! He was so unrehearsed! They should have exchanged him for an Imagineer actor ~ after all, he basically just sat there in front of a drawing and read cue cards.
