I have had a slight problem ever since my last trip to the world last december. From what I hear everyone hated Stitch's Great Escape. Now the problem is that I thought it was awesome. :confused3 Now this could just be because I love Stitch or because I never actually experienced Alien Encounter. But I don't see why everyone hates SGE so much. I thought it was really creative and cool. And all of those people saying that the chili dog smell made them nautious, come on :sad2: , it's not that bad, it actually smells like fritos. I honestly would be very sad if they took out this attraction as it is one of my favorites now. Anyone have this same opinion, or a different one?

Is SGE scary? The last time I was at WDW I went on Alien Enounter and it scared the you know what out of me. I loved it! I'm not sure if we'll try Stitch this year, I haven't really read much about it. Is it okay for a 4 year old?

We could not stand SGE. First, we don't like Stitch...however we're willing to give any attraction a chance. We thought that maybe it could still be a cool attraction even if Stitch isn't our favorite. We were wrong. We found it dull. Alien Encounter had more thrill to it, which we loved.

And that's great you didn't mind the chili cheese dog smell. But as someone who has trouble smelling as it is, a strong odor that is not pleasant can and does make me nauseous.

My family thought Stitch was terrible but we weren't a fan of Alien Encounter either.

Same here. I HATED Alien Encounter and SGE is my least favorite Disney Attraction right now. AE was just down right scary and SGE is annoying.

I liked it but my 5 year old daughter was scared. When the lights went off she started shaking. For about 20 mins after that she kept looking behind her to see if stitch was following her.

I went on AE, and didn't care for it as I didn't think it was very scary and the shoulder bar was very uncomfortable for me.

Now, for stitch, change the "not scary" to "not funny" so I still didn't care for it. I thought it was just too slow moving and boring.

DS on the other hand "says" he liked it, but when it ended he asked me "Now what?" He also didn't like how the shoulder bars pushed. I think he liked it cuz Stitch asked him personally to be his friend. ;)

I think they could have done much better, but not every attraction is for every one.

As far as the chili dog smell, it didn't bother me a bit.

I love Stitch, and never went on AE, but I did not enjoy this ride. Maybe if the harness had not hurt my neck so bad, I would have liked it. And I was even extra careful (thanks to posts on the DIS) and made sure it did not come down too far onto my shoulders. My neck hurt for the rest of the week! I won't be going on this again.

I think my DD's 5 and 7 would probably love it.

We absolutely loved Alien Encounter and I'm talkinag the original version, not the one most people saw. We were there not long after it opened and saw it before it got toned down.

People who thought the version that got closed was scary are lucky they didn't see the original.

cardaway--us too. I remember standing in line for like an HOUR and when we finally did end up seeing it, it scared the holy crap out of my brother (who was 10 at the time).

TOV

I didn't disklike it but didn't love it either. Now, my daughters (5 and 7 at the time) LOVED it!! They insisted going on it several times in a row and thought the chilli dog burp was hysterical. AE was ok but not one of my favorites either.
