Hello,

I am considering doing Nov 14 -- 21 2009 and was wondering for those down there now or who recently returned if the parks are decoarted for the holidays (hotels too). I know that MK will be becuase of MVMXP.

I usually go in early December but won't be able to next year. Thanks so much for your help in advance!

Recent reports this year are that the tree is up at AK and that the Jingle Jungle parade is taking place. Resort decos are underway and GF has already opened the gingerbread house).

This year the full holiday schedule (incl. CP, Illuminations, Osborne, etc.) doesn't kick off until the Friday after Thanksgiving. I think that may be a change from last year, so not sure what '09 will bring.

We're actually in the same boat as you are (typically Dec., next year earlier Nov.) and I'm hoping too that we'll get to see at least some holiday stuff next year even though we'll be there earlier than usual.:santa:

Just got back Sunday, MK was in full dress mode, the other parks had trees up and most of the decorations up, stayed at WL no decorations up.

Not only is the MK dressed up already, but last week they were playing Christmas carols on the background music during the day. I know they need time to put up all decorations, but a sunny 80 degree day before Veteran's day seems a little early for Christmas carols.

Isn't it so disappointing when the decorations aren't up when you expect them to be? The schedule is so iffy. I went the first week in January in 2007 (after new years) hoping to see the GF decorated and it was all taken down already, but the parks still were! All I wanted was a little Christmas cheer!:confused3

AK, MK and Epcot are all decorated. I also saw the lights for the Osbourne Family Spectacle strung up at at Hollywood Studios :)

Not all the decorations are up at Epcot. The big tree is up but the lights of Winter are not all up yet.

Thanks to everyone who responded to this thread. I really appreciate your help. I'm looking forward to my next trip to WDW!!!!

You guys are the best!!!! :cool1:

Just got back from Disney on Sunday. The MK had its Christmas stuff up and was playing Christmas music. EPCOT had the tree up. The gingerbread house is up and saw them working on it last Wed when we were at the GF for the tea and they said it would be done by last Thurs and went back last Friday and it was done. None, of the hotels had their decorations up.

Thanks for the info. I am planning on staying at the GF next year, so hopefully I'll see the gingerbread house and some decorations. I'm glad the parks have the decorations up (or hopefully will this time next year!)

been to Studios yesterday and EPCOT Monday night. Trees are up, some decorations, but not like I remember from other trips up here further into the holiday season.

We are here now LOVE it for the crowd levels!!!

SOME of the decorations are up - a few large trees here and there - but nothing like I saw last year the week after Tday.

I think the decorations are really something to see - but for us - I will take the crowd levels this week over the decorations.

If I can get some decorations AND the low crowd levels in November instead of December, I'll take it!! :yay:

Thank you for the information. I think in 2009, Nov 14 -- 21 is looking pretty good!!!!

We just returned from Nov 13 - 19 trip and were disappointed in the holiday decor. No decorations up at the resorts except for the gingerbread house at GF, which wasn't open yet last Sat night when we were there for dinner - no other decorations, though. MK was decorated, but still no tree even though MVMCP was taking place. As of last Fri there were NO decorations at HS - and, or couse, no osborne lights scheduled until 11/28 this year - on Tues night only the tree was up in Epcot, but not yet fully decorated - nothing else. AK had it's tree up and decorated on Sat and a few other decorations - first Jingle parade was on that day, also. We won't schedule another holiday trip until WDW figures out what they're doing and posts their schedule for the holidays - we loved the lower crowds and the weather was great, but we had really planned our trip to enjoy the earlier holiday happenings we have enjoyed in previous years, so we left with little Christmas Cheer!
