I am here. LOL.

This is day 6 of our trip. This is also the day we change resorts. I do hope we had a nice time at AofA Little Mermaid but I will be happy to go home to Saratoga Springs.

This resort is big.


I think we will go over around 8am and check in. I know the rooms will not be ready but at least it will be done. I will send the luggage by their services even though we have a car, I think it will just be easier especially with 2 owners lockers.

I put a request for this section. I just love being first picked up and first let off. I also requested the 1st building by the pool which is also closer to the main building.

Then we will head over to.


Now this is my least favorite park but there is a reason why we are here today. But before that we do plan on having some fun on the rides.
I will try to get Vinny on this.


He said he will if Renee does. I hope he doesn’t back out like usual.
We will also see how the line is for TSM.


I do want to ride Star Tours. I love this ride.


The next part of the day begins around 11:30ish and it will be at this location.


It will have a couple of friends. The first one would be Lorrie and her husband Jim. No pic of her alone except for eating so I will post this one. She is the one on the right.


And then there the person who booked the lunch. Tracy aka mrsksomeday and of course Bill. Here is a pic of them from 2008 the last time I saw them.


It will be so nice to see them again and I am looking so forward to this meal. Thanks again Tracy for asking me. I love meeting with friends from the internet even though we have met before but it seems like forever ago. LOL
I believe the lunch is 3 hours. I have been reading up on it and it seems like it will be fun. I just will have to take a few bites of each course I get.

After this I will meet Vinny and Renee or head back to the resort or if Lorrie wants to ride Star Tours I will.

What will we do for the rest of the night?

Isn't the view from the balloon SO awesome! I loved it! And, yes, the resort is so big, but its so pretty. I love the Grandstand Section!

I've learned that meeting up with friends from the Internet is almost always a GREAT time! We have a whole week of that coming up, in just a couple days. It is so much fun when you meet up with DISers who love Disney as much as we all do, you can't help but have a BLAST! I think you will have a great time and the Brown Derby is an awesome place to do that. Too bad that Vinny and Renee don't want to join you!

I'll catch you in a little while, we are on our way to WDW and then as soon as we get back we are on our way to Hotlanta for the Lesbian and Gay Band Association conference/concert so we're off the grid for several weeks. See ya when we get back!

Nice update! Looks like a great couple of days! Always nice to lunch with friends - especially at the Brown Derby.

We stayed at SSR in 2008 - a one bedroom in the Grandstand area (very close to the pool)...it was so nice to have about a 2 min walk to the bus stop. First on, first off - perfect! Was not crazy about the walk to the Lobby - not far, but kind of creepy at night.

Loved the one bedroom - we had reserved a studio (2 ngts points, 2 ngts cash) ...but housekeeping had upgraded us to a one bedroom. Never had a resort take care of my special needs requests so wonderfully. Housekeeping even sent us a gift basket because the front desk sent us to the wrong room (the studio). It was housekeeping who came to the room and moved us. Very nice stay.

I am with Vinny, I will not ride TOT, I don't like drops that is why I also won't ride splash mountain.

Someday I will probably ride Splash Mountain but only because that is all Andrew talks about even though he never ride it , he says he will ride it next time but I am hoping he won't be tall enough for a few years

Maybe you will get lucky and your room will be ready; wouldn't that be nice? That resort is huge...we drove through it with our "lost" bus driver last month and I thought we'd never get out of there.

Saratoga Springs looks like a beautiful resort! I haven't been there- but I want to see it one day. I'm sure you will enjoy your time at AoA! We loved that resort back in November. I kinda wish we were going back… but I'm excited to try a new resort!

When he gets tot he podium for the size bend his knees a little.
