Decorations and friends, what could be better. Time to plan..11/27 Final plans& recap

Hey Scott. I am a bad bad Disser!! I last posted here in MAY!! Just got all caught up & boy you have a lot going on there guy!!

First off, glad you are flying. Much less tiring & more FL time!!:thumbsup2

GO to Margarittaville!! We went when we were there back in 2011 & it was GREAT!!

Your ADR's look great. WE are going to Disney in about 4 1/2 weeks & have an ADR for BOG & cannot wait to try it. Also love Chef's, Teppan Edo,. Chef Mickey's just is not the same for us anymore. Just do not really enjoy it. We love Mama Melroses but this trip we are doing 50's Prime Time again. We have done it there years ago & thought we would change it up a little.

Best of luck to you with your surgery!!! Too bad about the mix up & waiting 3 more weeks!!:sad2: I think surgery will be in my future also but not until the first of the year. (A long story).

Good luck to you with your moving & new place. Keep us posted!

Your apt Is gorgeous . Hope it sells fast . It looks like it has a great view .

Glad your liver test came back okay .

Hope they can get your surgery scheduled shortly after your appt .

Hope all goes well :)
Thank you. It does have a great view.
I see the doctor on the 13th for a date.
Thanks.

Your apartment looks great. Did you have it professionally staged? I think it will sell fast as it is lovely.

Glad the liver test turned out okay. My sister in law said the worst part was all the testing etc. Before the surgery. They could not do the sleeve as Medicare would not pay for it. Good luck!
Thank you. Nope that is all us. People say we should open a business of staging places. :rotfl2:
The tests are the worst and the waiting for all the results to get there. That is too bad about Medicare.

That's a great looking place! I hope it sells fast! Owning an apartment is such a foreign concept to me. You lived out here so you know its different. Good luck finding a New bigger place!

Hope everything works out with the surgery.
thank you. In Glendale we had a 2 bedroom apt. Nice area.
Thanks.

Hi Scott. I hope everything falls into place and works out well for your surgery. I peeked at your apartment photos and what a lovely place! I wish you well with the sale. :)
Thank you.

I know the feeling. :rotfl2:
I am mixed about flying. I would love to drive but now we get to see friends and family so that is great.
I have to make sure Margaritaville also has non fried foods and no more blender for me after surgery. :sad1:
I wish I was going so soon. Seems like forever for me. Let me know how you like BOG. We have not beent o Chef Mickey's in 4 or 5 years so I think we will enjy it. I hope.
50's PTC is one of my favorites.. The pb&j shake is the best and the fried chicken.
Thank you. I find out the date on the 13th so I am ready. Hope all is well by you.
Thanks. Will do.

Sorry for the lack of presence here. We packed up some of the things and had it moved to storage. Now the apartment is listed and hopefully it will sell. Would you like to see our place? Here is the link. If you know anyone looking let them know.

Watch the virtual tour. I like it. LOL

Now my surgery. So Tuesday I was supposed to see him. My appointment was at 11:30 and at 10am I get a phone call their is a problem with one of my results for my liver. I then had my appt canceled and then had to book with the gastro doctor again. She took me at 11:45 so I was very happy over that. She said her nurse would call me. Today I still had not heard so I called the hospital and asked if they got the results and they did and it was negative so I was good to go. Now I wait till the 13th to see the surgeon. The waiting is the hardest part. I am hoping soon after that I will be able to get in. I am hoping for 2 months recovery before Disney.

I will get an update up this coming week. Thank you all have stuck around.

Great apartment!! I hope it sells quickly and that the surgeon is able to get you in fast so you have adequate recovery time before the big trip!

With all of this other stuff going on the time is going to fly by!

I wish all parents were like that. Some force their kids to do things and it makes everyone around miserable.

:lmao: I don't think you are kidding.

I was TOTALLY kidding…….. (You have to be a good character witness!!!;))

Your apartment is great! But MAN!!! If you moved here to the cornfields you could have a small mansion for that price!! Of course, your income levels wouldn't be able to compete, but you know… it's all in perspective!

I may be visiting NYC in the spring… with the recent federal decisions my best friend is thinking about making her and her partners relationship "legal" and wants me to be there with them. :) Of course, I'm trying to get her to pick a place that is a little closer to me, but NYC is wonderful, too! Not sure if we will be able to make it yet, but I'm hoping I can be there with them.

Hi Scott!! :wave2:

I finally got my hiney over here. :upsidedow

Wow! Yours and Vinny's trip sounds like a lot of fun!! :goodvibes

I'm jealous, you two are venturing out beyond the bubble, I never do that. It's terrible, I know. What are ya gonna do? The beach, seeing family, US, and the like!! How nice!!

I'm glad you got your BOG ADR, Mackie and I loved eating there, we at there for lunch like four times. By the fourth time we decided we were over it and needed to eat somewhere else. You can't get enough of the atmosphere, especially what we call the green room where the Beast and Belle dance in the middle of the room. :cloud9: <happy sigh>

The green room is the room to the right of the main ball room, and it's closed during the dinner hours, not totally sure why? :confused3 They could fit a lot more people in there if they had it open. I think it may be a kitchen thing, I think the kitchen isn't able to handle the amount of people if they kept that room open. They had a hard enough time trying to get our dinner right. It never happened, but they were most gracious about it and wonderful to us. :) I can't say which room to eat in, the ball room or the West Wing because both are wonderful, the main ball room is overwhelming to me, too loud, the West Wing room is soooo cool!! It's a must do if dark rooms don't bother you.

Your ADR list sounds pretty darn good to me!! You'll looooove eat breakfast at Crystal Palace. That's if the little kids don't bother you. :goodvibes It's one of Mackie's and my favorite places to eat breakfast, that and 1900 Park Fare. Well, it's actually one of Mackie's favorites, I just love being at the Grand Floridian.

Hope the surgery turns out okay, are you thinking about postponing it if you don't have the full two months to recover? If you do have to (which I hope you won't), you can look at it from the positive side....you'll have the holidays to get through and not worry about what you eat. :goodvibes
I know how tough that surgery can be on people. Well, correction, the full bypass was a total....you know what for my friends who've had it done, I don't really know about the band/sleeve. Hope it's a success for you, I'll be praying for you and for your turn out to be a good one. :)

Your Apt. is beautiful!! I'm totally impressed. I don't think you'll have a hard time selling it, at all! By the way, what is the color you painted in the hall? I'm in the midst of trying to paint my house, inside and out and I'm having a tough time with color in the down stairs because of my goldish/brown colored couch. I truly need someone with an eye for color!!

Thankfully, I wasn't too far behind on your TR. Love your plans for Day 3. I am so excited to see the CP this year...our first ever (we have Whoopi).

Love the apartment...hope you hear something positive soon.

It feels like time is moving so slowly. Once I get a date then I think ti will move quickly.

Thanks. Yeah NYC prices are high.
That would be nice if you came and what a great reason to. Will be nice when people don't have to travel to get married.

Hi,
:welcome:
This is the first time in 3 years that we are going outside of WDW. I do like it though because it breaks up the trip. I am more excited for the friends and family part.
Maybe I will try to sit there in the Green room for lunch one day. I do want to try it for both meals.
I want the room where the snow falls. I think. LOL
CP is usually a must every year. We stopped last year because I saw a kid pick up bacon and put it back. It didn’t make me happy but I told the person there and they changed out the bacon.
Not sure if I will postpone it or not. I meet with him on Friday so after that I should know more of how I want to go about it.
Thank you. The paint is Behr cottage white. Vinny picks all colors. LOL
Thanks for joining in.

:thumbsup2 I have to catch up on your new one.
Whoopi would be fun. I am seeing her Thursday as we are going to a taping of The View.
Thank you.

Hi,
:welcome:

Maybe I will try to sit there in the Green room for lunch one day. I do want to try it for both meals.

Ooooh, you'll love it. :lovestruc It's so beautiful in there, and a little quieter than the main ball room. I promise I have nothing against the ball room, it's just that my DH and Mackie both need a little down time away from the people and the noise after a certain amount of time. I guess I've just gotten use to it and tend to find spots that give us the quiet and time away from large crowds of people. The green room is relaxing, has all the neat portraits of the Belle and Beast that you never get to see, along with some of the other characters from the movie. :goodvibes :cloud9:
Also, don't be alarmed when you see the line for lunch. Even if the line is all the way down the bridge almost to Gaston's Tavern, and they tell you it will be a 40 min. wait, don't listen to them. I promise you it goes MUCH faster than that.
They told us a 40 min. wait and it took about 20-25 mins. max. Best thing to do is get in line at 10:30 (if they open at 11:00, otherwise line up at 11 if they open at 11:30) and then be one of the first one's in for the day. To be honest though, you'd probably be better off if you lined up right at the time they open, the line will be long, but your wait will be much less than lining up a half hour before they open.

Thank you. The paint is Behr cottage white. Vinny picks all colors. LOL
Thanks for joining in.

Of course!! :goodvibes And tell Vinny thank you for the paint name, I'm having a tough time of it. :worried:

Thanks for the info on BOG.

Choosing color is a hard task to do. Sometimes we buy the sample jars for $2.95 and test it out.

Day 5: Let’s party!!!!

Today will be the 2nd day at Disney but 5th day we are in Florida. This day is party day for me but not for Vinny or Renee.

I think we will start this day off at one of my favorite parks for pics.

Of course we will see this wonderful sight.

This trip I do plan on walking all the trails and taking pics.
I am also thinking this day will be kept light of things to do. Those will include.
This one is a possible one. I have to ask the doctor about rides and my stomach.

Then we will take Renee to see this wonderful show which we have not done in a couple of years now.

Then we will see a few dinosaurs. EEK!!!

We will probably venture into here and see what is going on.

Then the other thing we will do is early first thing or right before we leave.

Possibly this too but we will be 2 more times so no rush really.

We will probably have lunch at Flame Tree. I do love their food or maybe Pizzafari.

I think we will head back to hotel around 1 and I will rest. This evening Vinny and Renee are dining at Cape May Buffet while I will be going to.

I know several people who will be there so I am sure I will not be solo all night long. I do want pics with the characters on the photopass+ and maybe I will get on Space Mountain.

I cannot wait to see the decorations again. These pics are from 2008 the last time we went at this time of the year.

Then of course this wonderful sight.

Of course I will see “Holiday” Wishes. Not sure if I will video them or just take pics. Thoughts?

I will see the holiday parade and take good pics or video unlike this pic. LOL

If they still do it I will have a hot chocolate and a cookie. LOL

Then after all the fun it will be time to head back to the hotel. Sleep till the next morning….

We might also not do AK this day and not do anything being the day before was supposed to be a non park day and we are going to Epcot instead. If that is the case then we will go to DTD or play mini golf or go to resorts and see the decorations.

Up next, Day 6 - We move resorts and I lunch with friends and an Imaginear.

Nowhere in this report did I read, "....and then we surprise Gmax with a trip to Disney World with us, because she is THEE funnest person ever".

Let me go back and read through it again...... :coffee:

I think Jim and I are just doing a full MK day. We were originally going to do the steam engine tour and I was excited about that but no Crystal Palace ADR because of it. He has decided he no longer wants to do the tour and I can't get an ADR now.

You can hang with us at the party. I want to get as many character pics as I can too. I don't do Space Mountain and I know he likes it so maybe you can both go on and leave me to my camera.

Glad to see an update with your plans. Looks like fun. So you are going to the Christmas party stag? I haven't been to that party in years. I hope you have a wonderful time. No doubt that you will!

We have missed out on so much in AK… we only ever have the mornings there, since they close earlier than the other parks and we have to deal with afternoon naps. I want to see the Nemo show. We skipped the LK show last time and I'm still upset about that… :guilty: Of course, I realized that I had the park hours wrong and now I'm considering changing my days around a little in order to get some more time at AK for our trip!

Scott, plans sound great. What night is Day 5? I'm wondering if we are at the party the same night?

I am not missing Animal Kingdom this time in December; we missed it last December and I am looking forward to seeing the holiday decorations there.

Day 5 plans look great !

Good idea on only doing a few things at AK, so not to tire yourself out for the party later that night :santa:

Love the Icicle lights on the Castle. Such a pretty sight :goodvibes

Yeah, like Kathy asked what night are you going to the party? We'll be there but our party is I believe on the 10th.

Anyway....looks like a great way to spend day 5.

Thoughts on Holiday Wishes... I'll be videoing since I've never seen it and want to play it over and over and over... I know, I can youtube it but that's not the same! :)

I can answer for Scott, Day 5 is Tuesday Dec. 3rd. We are going the same time but sadly not getting as many days at Disney. Driving down and my DH insisting on being home to go back to work won't even let me add a day.

:welcome: Look who is here and also read again because it does say it, just in invisible ink. I don;t want others to get jealous. :rotfl2:
I hope you have a great trip.

Sounds like a fun day with or without the Animal Kingdom!
:thumbsup2 I hope so.

Too bad about canceling the tour. Sounds good about hanging. I might do it. I have to see first.

Glad to see an update with your plans. Looks like fun. So you are going to the Christmas party stag? I haven't been to that party in years. I hope you have a wonderful time. No doubt that you will!
I am slow at this.
I am and really looking forward to it.
Thanks.

It is a bummer it closes early but totally understandable. We skipped LK last time but definitely will not next time. I love the Nemo show. You should, AK is a great park.

12/3.
So am I and the holiday parade.

Day 5 plans look great !

Love the Icicle lights on the Castle. Such a pretty sight :goodvibes
Thanks.
That is exactly why. I need my energy for that night.
It is so pretty when the castle is lit up for the holiday.

Yeah, like Kathy asked what night are you going to the party? We'll be there but our party is I believe on the 10th.

LOL. 12/3
the 10th is our day off from the parks.
I think I might be also. I have hallo wishes on tape so I might do this one too.

Thank you. I am slow getting back here.
Bad hubby :rotfl2:
