Decorating your resort room?

Welcome, triciadanna! I spend FAR too much time here, it's addicting! I was without my computer while on vacation last week and was having serious withdrawals. Have fun!!!

We were just at Pop last week and decorated our windows. We had 2 connecting rooms. We never had any complaints and we cleaned it all up when we left. Here are pictures:

I'm new to Disboards... not even lurked for very long before signing up! The wealth of information on this site is mindblowing! I only thought I was excited about our October trip but after reading about the door/window decorating it has pushed me to "tizzy" status!

I've done some research and just purchased some clear inkjet printable window decals off of ebay. I'm too new to post a link but you can find it if you search "Blank CLEAR Window Decals" on ebay.

Do you remember who you got your cling from and may I ask what you paid for them.

Are the doors at AKL metal or would I have to tape stuff to the door? Also, here's a design I got from the design board:

I'm putting it on a t-shirt as well as a window cling.

ETA: does anyone have any pics to post from AKL?

My mom just got off the phone with disney, they said that as long a you dont hammer anything in the walls that decorating the room is fine. So decorate on!!

I ordered them from a seller named nickda98, 10 SHEETS Blank CLEAR Window Decals 8 1/2 x 11 InkJet for $6.85 plus $4.25 shipping. It does look like he/she has bigger boxes of the printable decal sheets if you would need more. I just got an email this evening that they have shipped! Yeah!!

Ok new update....We called POP to confirm our reservation this morning and asked about decorations and they told us that it was up to mousekeeping for decorations. I guess it is what they can tolerate, so be kind to your mousekeeper and they will let you keep decorations up.

i made my first trip to hd today. got away with 10 lgmhs and quite a few other colors as well. the whole time my grandfather, who was with me, is teasing me about taking to many, lol! i acted like i was browsing, grabbed a few of the brochures and then just stuck the ones i grabbed in the folds of the brochure, lol! will have to go back and get some more another day!

Whenever we stay at Poly over Christmas holidays we set up a small Xmas tree and cover it with lights and Disney decorations. One year we bought a couple of boxes of Disney shrinky dink decorations, which are perfect since they take up no room in luggage and weigh next to nothing! We hang lights on our balcony and even bring stockings. Alot of our Christmas shopping is done at the parks or downtown.

I'm assuming that by you asking of the doors are metal, that if they are made of wood I hope you aren't thinking of attaching something with any kind of tack.

That I'm sure that would create some issues with mousekeeping.

Also I'm sure everyone here has seen the thread on the person who was told to remove their decorations, but they used tape and glass paint.
