Decorating your resort room?

Hey everyone! I will be at POP in Sept. It will be DH and my 5th anniversary! I really want to decorarte. Can someone help me find some pretty Disney lights and clings and magnets. Obviously all of a Disney nature. I plan on printing out the words Happily Ever After...unless I can find really big cling letters...anyone know where to find them!

I haven't had much luck finding clings but people have said they have gotten them at various $ Stores...I bought some on e-bay but couldn't justify the price and decided to make some of my own (which really isn't cost effective either!) I am making my own magnets now too! Check out craft stores (ie Michaels, Hobby Lobby, ect) and party stores for decorations and ideas!

ok , i'm sure this has been asked a million times but once more please? I'l love to take lights to decorate my window this Sept. Can I take them on the plane? in my carry on or checked luggage? Don't want them taken away!

Don't forget to pack an extension cord. I decorated my windows (we had two rooms) on our last trip. The plug isn't right under the window, it's off to the side under the desk and the lights didn't reach that far. Thankfully I packed two because I would have been very disappointed if I wasn't able to use them. Good luck!

Thankfully there is a Walgreens not far from DTD (just in case)

Can anyone tell me what make of window pens they use and where they get them from? Last year, when we went to WalMart, they didn't sell them No one in the UK sells them either, so would like to know where I can try either online, or when we get to the US. Thanks!

The window markers that we use are Crayola, I have found them in the toy dept, and office/school supply stuff at Wal Mart! I believe they are called Window Writers. HTH's!!

Does anyone have pictures of their rooms decorated at Christmas time? I would like to decorate my door or window this year and not sure what to get to take. I would love to see some pictures and get some ideas from you!

Are the Window Writers easy to get off? I know the ones for the car are so hard to get off. Do you bring stuff with you?

I just had an idea! You can write on Windows with dry erase markers! I do it on my windows all the time and it cames right off.

Yes they are super easy to get off!! I bought some to decorate the car and hotel window for DH's 30th. They came off the hotel window with water and toilet paper. The car was with soapy water, he kept it on for awhile!! LOL We would definatly use them again, it was tons of fun and really easy to clean!

Hello everyone!

I have plans to decorate my window at Pop when we go in Dec 2008. I just read on this thread http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1902076 where they made the OP undecorate her window or they were going to charge her $25 a day.

Has something changed?

I just read the same thing...I wonder if it is just because of the writing on the window. When my mom calls to confirm our reservation for the 7th of Aug she is gonna ask them. That would stink if they dont allow it, we already have all our decorations ready.

Im wondering too if it was "what" was written. I dont deem it as bad.. but maybe someone complained about "you can hide out here"

I have suction cups and magnets for when I go... and can easily take a packet of windex wipes to clean up the glass as needed.

I'm new to Disboards... not even lurked for very long before signing up! The wealth of information on this site is mindblowing! I only thought I was excited about our October trip but after reading about the door/window decorating it has pushed me to "tizzy" status!

I've done some research and just purchased some clear inkjet printable window decals off of ebay. I'm too new to post a link but you can find it if you search "Blank CLEAR Window Decals" on ebay.
