We had such a blast decorating!
It was fun to watch people stop and look at it, hear the comments about it, and see people taking pictures!

When our older daughters arrived, we made their window up the same way. We were three rooms apart, but I am pretty sure everyone could tell we were together!!

What do you have holding your lights up with...

We did not have any problems having our names on the windows, and no one said anything to us about it. We were also with friends on that trip who had a room a few doors down from us and they also had their names on their window and they did not have any problems either. However it was just our first names posted, we did not use our last names.

4 Ears....We just got back and had our last names as well as the couple we were traavleing with on the windoq. No probs!

Thanks. It will be just our first names. We have 4 rooms between the whole group and each room would have names on the windows. Since we are going at Christmas time, I have everyone's name in a Christmas design that I wanted to put up along with some other Christmas decorations. I think I'm going to go ahead and stick with my original plan to decorate. Thanks again.

We are bringing some twinkling Red White and Blue lights for our window. I have 2 strands of 50lights. How many does it usually take to go around a window? I just want to know if I need to pack my 100 non twinkle rw&b too (though it would look goofy). Also will I need an extension cord...and if so how long? We are staying at All Star Sports if that helps.

I loved that Mickey window !! I have to find my Sept. window pix they did notcome out well as my camera was on the fritz !!!!

Hi!
Everything I put up, including the lights, was done with a hot glue gun.
It worked out great because when we took it all down, the glue globs just peeled right off.

I was careful not to use it on any painted surface - didn't want the paint peeling off with the glue!

We were at ASSp as well. I used a regular 25' srand of lights and it was more than enough. There were a few extra lights hanging in the room.

I did need a regular 6' household extension cord and it was more than enough.
The closest outlet was on the side wall by the table. There is not one under the window.

Have fun decorating!

If anyone was looking for Halloween Clings I saw them at the Dollar Tree today. They had some very cute ones. Mickey, Princesses and Pooh.

I looked for Christmas one, we go in Dec but they didn't have them in yet.

Would like to know how many lights it takes to decorate around the edge of windows at POFQ I will be using the min. Christmas lights

For those of you going at Christmas, the Dollar Tree has Christmas Mickey dry erase boards that are so cute!! There is also a Christmas princess dry erase board. Thought you all would like to know.

Went to local Walgreens today and there is all sorts of fun Disney decorations out. I bought a red and white Mickey head that lights up! So cute! I will be decorating my room at CBR the first week of December. Enjoy!!!

I leave for my trip tomorrow and I will be packing my supplies to decorate my resort window in my carry on bag so i can decorate right when I arrive. I want to use a glue gun to stuck my lights up. Will security let me bring a glue gun in my carry on luggage?

On any other forum this would be an odd question! :rotfl:

I wouldn't think that would be a problem since the glue is not liquid when it is cold.

Have a great trip!
