Decorating your resort room?

Hi all!

Everyone on this thread inspired me so much, I decided to decorate my window too. We came back from ASMu last week and I didn't see another decorated window which I was bummed about. My daughter painted the Mickey head for me and I did the ghosts which glowed in the dark. I did eventually fix the ghost that was blocking my pirate pumpkin. I hope you like it (and I hope I did this right).

I don't think there is a right or wrong way to decorate the windows, it's just individual preference and your own creativity! Speaking of, your window looks great and your daughter did a wonderful job painting the Mickey head! And I love that you put the garland at the bottom of the window, can I ask where did you get the pumpkin?

Your window makes me very excited about decorating ours in 20 more days!!

Thank you! Honestly, I've had the pumpkin for so many years I don't remember where I got it although it was probably Wal-Mart. I had it on a timer and it lit up every night that mousekeeping didn't unplug it.

It looks like regular garland w/ some of the HD mickey heads laid on it.

We use the dry erase boards on the cruise ship. Magnetic. On the outside of our door to help tell family where we went off to!

I got the Halloween garland at WalMart and put Mickey heads on it.

Hi All,

I am an avid All-Star door/window decorator, but this year I am staying at Old Key West. Can anyone tell me the status of the doors/windows there? Is the door wood/metal? Do we even have a window that opens to the outside (or just the back patio)?

We had such a blast decorating!
It was fun to watch people stop and look at it, hear the comments about it, and see people taking pictures!

When our older daughters arrived, we made their window up the same way. We were three rooms apart, but I am pretty sure everyone could tell we were together!!

I just drew them onto poster board and cut them out.
Then used a thick black marker to draw in the details and outlining.

Yes, the mickey heads are from HD.

No, I actually hot glued everything, including the bases of the lights.

Worked great because the glue just peels right off of everything when it's time to remove the decorations.

Hi Y'all! I just wanted to share some info... I went to Walgreens today and they had mickey halloween lights for 10 dollars, and an inflatable three foot tall mickey pumpkin for 19.99!!!! They also had mickey light-up jack-o-lanternts too - I think that they were 12.99. I bought two of the inflatable yard mickeys, they look awesome! Just thought that I would share!

Displaying names in the resort window.... TK I know you said you did in a previous post, but did you experience any problems with doing so? Someone mentioned either in this thread or another one I was reading (everything is running together now...been reading too much today) that they were nervous about having their names in the window for everyone to see. I had planned on posted our names in our window...but now I'm second guessing myself. Don't want to cause or create any problems for us. Thoughts anyone???

We did not have any problems having our names on the windows, and no one said anything to us about it. We were also with friends on that trip who had a room a few doors down from us and they also had their names on their window and they did not have any problems either. However it was just our first names posted, we did not use our last names.
