Decorating your resort room?

Anyone know where to get some Patriotic Gel Clings for the window that arent going to cost an arm and a leg??

Okay so DH gets home just a few weeks b4 we go to Disney, so that is why we are going patriotic. I have a few Gel Clings I got from Target (I got the last of them right b4 the 4th of July), and I have a flag that I might take (Its small). I also have the welcome home sign we are taking to the ceremony that just simply says "WELCOME HOME". Would it be dumb to take it to Disney since he would already be home about a month??? I'm going to look for some patriotic lights, but if I cant find them I think I will just take white.

Do you need some shipped? My HD never seems to run out - and I am pretty sure I am the only Dis member in the area!

Thankyou for offering!! I just have to remember to stop at Home Depot !! It can be on my way if I go that way but I keep taking another way and forget till it's too late:lmao:I don't want these to turn into Dryer Sheets which I also forget each time I go:lmao:

I am nearly done making our window/room decorations for our Sept trip. The only thing is I was really hoping to find some fall/halloween Disney window clings, nothing so far, so I can make them, only I can not find the blank window clings around here. When I looked them up on line they were very expensive, any ideas??????????

Keep an eye on Dollar Tree. Two years ago, they had Disney clings for each Holiday. Last year they did not, until I got back from my October trip. I have since seen Disney clings for each major holiday. Also check Walmart.

As for making them, I think the office supply stores sell the blank sheets. You could always have on of the DISigners make you some personalized sheets and just hang them up.

So glad to hear he's coming home :banana::banana: The dis design board has lots of patriotic signs that you could print out and put magnets on the back to decorate the door of your room.

I bought a fake white pumpkin from Michaels and made it look like Cinderella's coach. I carved a door into it and used gold puffy paint to decorate the door and to draw the side light. I bought some ivy from Michaels to attach to the bottom and painted some round trivets gold and made the wheels.

I'd add a picture but I haven't done 10 posts yet. A couple more and I will come back and post a picture.

Here is my window decoration

I am SO going to Home Depot for Mickey heads! and I can look out for lime green that is a cool secret to know! I've learned so much from the DIS boards in a very short time!!

Lets see, there are 4 of us, and we have 3 home depots in our area....hmmm

Dopeyfan 1966 I love the pumpkin you made. What did you use for the wheels? Any Ideas to make fr a boy out of a pumpkin? I am trying to decide what to do for out room. We are celebrating my sons birthday.

Thanks I will keep looking. I know I got some Christmas Disney clings a couple years ago, and looked last year and found nothing for halloween knowing this trip was coming up. I have had the disigners make a couple of real cute disigns, but have not been able to find the blank cling material. Still some time, about 40 days to come up with the material or already made clings. Also wondering if the blanks for overhead projectors would work, then just hang with suction cups? I am certain I could find that a staples or one of the office supply stores.

I have been to DT a couple of times already hoping, and they are starting to get halloween stuff out already, so I will keep trying.

here's a design I made for a window cling for our trip in Sept. It can be used as a sign also. I put my user name in the middle of the mickey head.

THAT IS SO CUTE! How do you make it into a window cling? Do you mind if I borrow it?

I picked up some window decal paper at office depot and printed on that.

O sure you can use it!

Okay where are you all getting your window cling paper at, and how much is it costing you all???

I've been wanting to do this for a while, but also wanted the generic clings from the stores too. BUT, I cant find either (the generic clings I want are patriotic) right now.

If I cant find the cling paper to print them on would it be corny to get some laminating film and cover them, then just poke a hole in the top and hang them w/ suction cups?
