I've heard of people decorating there suitcases. Does this help at like baggage claim and stuff?

How do you decorate yours? Do you have pictures? if so post them!

Just make it stand out, cause the way those baggage monkeys throw the bags around, pics and stuff will get wrecked

I like to tie the fluorescent curly birthday ribbons onto the handle of mine so I can quickly spot it.

I do a bright luggage tag on my suitcases. Usually I can get it off quickly.

Now for my inexpensive duffle bags, I got a roll of self adhesive fabric. I then ran it along the top zippers. For a smaller bag, I did the outside pocket as well.

First time I rode ME it was a last minute trip and I didn't get the yellow tags on time. It was very easy to give description of black bag with polka dot trim. As a matter of fact Disney ended up putting that description right on the tag when they delivered the bag to the resort.

I tie a plastic shopping bag on the handle.

So many Black and navy blue luggage. Last time I got myself floresent orange cases.

The last suitcase I had I used to put patches on them from places I've traveled....

I have a set of bright pink and white plaid suitcases that I purchased specifically for their "ease of visual dentification" purposes. My daughter has a set of cases that are brown with large turquoise polka dots.

I use self laminate sheets and make luggage tags out of the mickey heads with our name address phone on them. I also tie ribbons to the handles, lime green (LGMH), black and white polka dots (dalmation) red and white polka dots (minnie) and the WDW castle luggage tags. With all these bright Disney inspired ribbons and tags, we have never had a problem finding our luggage and they are still in great shape after 6 flights to Disney and back.

Black luggage with BRIGHT pink Luggage Tags and a tied on piece of ribbon/material, that cannot be missed!

I also have the Mickey Mouse Suitcase which I LOVE and it has that EMbroidered castle on the front :lovestruc and EXpands for all my purchases:rotfl2: ( I have not seen many or any of those despite all my trips) It too get that BRIGHT pink tag and also a color coordinated ribbon.
No issues thus far....and there is LOTS of black luggage out there!!! :rotfl2:

Can anyone direct me to where to get a LGMH design? I wonder if you could iron an image onto a suitcase if it is fabric

I try to buy things that are not black, blue or red. Bonus points for girly colors that are not pink. ;)

In an airport, my things stand out and are not mistaken for anyone else's. I have a pink/red/brown/orange striped laptop case and a lavender backpack. My current suitcase (sadly) is blue, but has 3 luggage tags, two of which are extremely girly (in a grown up way. . .)

Male business travelers still far outnumber femaled business travelers, and a large percentage of female travelers travel with only black luggage and accesories (or with the most conservative possible items), so my luggage and my backpack are easy to spot, harder to lose, harder to steal.

I don't know if I'd do this. With your address on them, you are telling everyone in your home airport (that comes in contact with your bags) that you are not at home.:scared1: The only thing I ever put on a luggage tag is my name and cell phone number.

As far as making luggage easy to identify on the carousel, I have LL Bean duffel bags. LL Bean will monogoam or even put your whole name on them and they come in lots of bright colors. They are also very sturdy and last forever. I have the large size in both a bright pink and a bright lime green with my last name monogrammed on both. Either bag is impossible to miss in that sea of black and navy that usually comes around the carousel.:rotfl:

I have a black one but I have pathces on mine. Its also a good idea to put something on your luggage even if having carry-on cause might mot be able to put luggage in over head bin where you are sitting. Its also not a good idea to put your first name on tag.Put your intital of your first name than last name

i decorated mine...

i used fabric paint to write my name and draw a few colorful mickey heads...

its not bad... not good... but not bad!

I have bright orange ribbons tied to each of our suitcase for easy identification.
I like the patches on the suitcase idea. :thumbsup2
