We want an oceanview midship room on the Dream for a cruise to the Bahamas. The staterooms seem to be under restaurants or something. Has anyone stayed on Deck 2 and could you tell me if there is a lot of noise from the deck above? It seems like there are not many midship cabins that don't have verandas. Thanks for any info.

On the Dream there are more verandahs than other types of rooms (compared to the classic ships).

On deck 2, the rooms are forward (underneath the atrium and shopping areas). The dining rooms are on deck two, aft of the rooms, and deck 3 above Enchanted Garden and more aft then that. So no dining rooms above the deck 2 rooms.

We stayed on deck 2 ocean view, on the Dream in January. I didn't notice any excessive noise while in the room and I really liked that little area. When we first booked it I had 2nd thoughts and wished we had gone for a higher deck, but after sailing I was glad we went with 2.
