I am starting to panic. We are booked on the Magic in a Cat 4, 8036. I booked this trip over a year ago and didn't have the benefit of all of this advice. Now, I am reading posts here and have read Passporter which says to avoid some of these cabins since it is noisy during the deck parties. I called Disney to inquire about changing and the woman assured me there would be no noise. She said - "You're right next to all the suites..." which is true, a Cat 3 suite is right next door. She told me they are very quiet. I'm afraid she was just saying that... Has anyone had any experience with cabins in this area? Should I call back and try to move?

We stayed in the Cat. 3 suite next door (8034). My son was sick and we were put in isolation in the cabin for 3 days. Let's just say that I spent a lot of time in that cabin (most of the time in the master bedroom that shares a wall with your cabin). It was not noisy at all. Sure, you heard the occasional cart overhead and you could hear the music during the deck parties, but it wasn't a big deal. I don't think the music was much louder than when I was on deck 7 in a Cat. 5. I wouldn't worry about it. By the way, I'm a VERY light sleeper and never had a problem. :goodvibes

Enjoy your cruise!

We were in 8030 and the only noise seemed to be when kids were running around on deck 9 in the evening. One night it was so bad we called Guest Services, but on 2 trips that was the only time it was bothersome.
