Hey All! I did a search for previous posts about deck 2 and most said that it was pretty quiet, but I was wondering if maybe these people stayed up late so noise at 9, 10pm wasn't an issue. If my kids are going to be going to bed somewhat early, will this be an issue for us? Do you hear people stomping around in the lobby at night? We're up early, so morning noise is less of an issue. I know that in hotels I always ask for the top floor so we don't hear people walking on our ceiling. Is trying to save money by staying on Deck 2 going to be a noisy mistake?

I think deck 2 is a place you need to check what is above you. If you are directly under the restaurant, you may get some chair and traffic noise. We have stayed on deck 2 twice and enjoyed it greatly. We weren't under the MDR and didn't notice any noise from above.

Just back from Deck 2 on the Dream. In our experience deck 2 on the Dream/Fantasy classes are the quietest. The rooms are tucked away and we don’t notice the same foot traffic in the halls that we get on other decks. You’re also talking about far fewer rooms since Enchanted Garden takes up so much of that deck and the WD theater seating descends into Deck 2.

You’ll be under corridor space or retail space, both of which are quiet late in the evenings.

We were on Deck 2 for our first Disney cruise, right around the corner from the elevators. I was nervous about noise, but I was pleasantly surprised. I never heard anything above us, next to us, or in the hallway. We had a party of 10 split between 3 different rooms. One morning I was heading out and it was so quiet I thought everyone was still sleeping. Once I got in the hallway I noticed the rest of our family was wide awake and they were having a noisy good time in their room right next to ours.

We stayed in 2021 & 2023, it was quiet. Never had an issue. Once you turn the corner from the elevator, the hall noise disappears.

We just stayed in 2024 and 2026 on the Dream around a month and a half ago and thought it was super quiet. We had a then 2-and-a-half-year-old with us who had fallen asleep during the shows, so at 8:30-9pm and he was never woken up while we were in the rooms. I believe our room location was underneath of the atrium area, the bar area, I believe, that's on deck 3.
