Deck 2, cat. 9, is it better to be near the aft elevators or the forward elevators?

Could some of you experts help me with this one? My choices are the following:

1. 2534 just a few cabins from the forward elevators. A little concerned with being below Route 66 etc.

2. 2116 right at the aft elevators. A little concerned with the galley above us, although the galley is on the starboard side of the ship and 2116 is on the port. Will I hear carts being pushed in the middle of the night?

I guess another option is to go further aft. I performed a search and many people recommend the midship staterooms, but there are none to be had.

Thanks so much.

We like the aft section better. Straight shot up the elevators for early morning coffee and tea. It seems closer to more things we do than the forward section. You cann't go wrong eather way.

We stayed forward on deck 2, 2016. The room was awesome. We never heard any noise from above or from the hallway. Of course our room is a bit more forward then what you were offered. Either choice you have doesn't sound bad to me.

We stayed deck 2 forward, twice and absolutely loved it! It is perfect for scooting up the elevators to the adult pool (especially after the kids go to sleep). I am not one to walk around in my bathing suit thru lobbies etc. but I barely ran into other people at nighttime. I love a hot tub before bed time! Cabin # 2024/2026 were our cabins number and they have a spot to "park" a stroller across the hall without having to bring it into the cabin. It work wonderfully! It was also great to get to the clubs/shops/WDW theatre. :teeth:

hi,

we were in cabin #2528 - while i loved the location directly across from the elevators the only problem i had was the gang plank was directly below us - when we docked at ports everyone was coming in & out right below us!! and also when we returned home to port canaveral there was alot of noise (i think they were unloading luggage) at around 5 am - i definitely would try to be more towards midship next time.
