Hi all! I am planning for a WDW trip in August 2011. I know it's too early for most places to have rates out.

I am trying to decide between on-site and off-site and hoping for some suggestions. Here are my thoughts so far:

-If we stay on-site, it would probably be at the Contemporary, for the convenient location, but I could really only justify this if we got a 40% pin code.

-We really don't want to rent a car, so off-site would need to have a shuttle to the parks. My preferences for an off-site would be:
-free breakfast
-shuttle to parks
-under $100/night
-possibly a larger room or suite hotel

Will we miss some of the magic if we stay off-site to save money? Any suggestions are appreciated.

For my family, off site is the only way to go. That being said, I would never, ever stay off site without a car. Shuttle service from most hotels is limited.

We are staying here in February. http://www.vrbo.com/46990
It takes 20 minutes to get the parks, but the price is fantastic and we love the extra room and our own pool. This is the second time we are staying here.

A lot of people have stayed at Bonnet Creek and rave about it. You may find something there that meets your criteria. I am not sure if they have transportation and whether it is reliable or not.

I agree with the PP. Off site shuttles are very limited. I would NEVER stay off site without a car.

If I were to stay off site, the Buena Vista Suites has everything I am looking for, namely: suite, clean, fridge, full free breakfast, close to pizza :goodvibes and shuttles.

We are going in September & staying on-site... however, the *next* time we go we are considering off-site as well and these are the same "needs" we would have... subscribing :goodvibes
