I think that you need to price out the whole thing...gas/food/hotel/rental.

Go to www.fuelcostcalculator.com to see what the gas will cost. Then add about $100 for a hotel and probably another $100 for food....unless you pack all your food/drinks/snacks in a cooler.

That's what I meant....you have to price out the road trip. It is all together possible that it will cost nearly as much as flying.
