Decided to get DDP and questions

Ok, I decided to do the DDP for our upcoming trip and I have 2 questions.

I had originally bought 8 day park hoppers but I want to downgrade to 7 days. ME will pick us up at noon so we plan to just hang out at the hotel that morning. I can downgrade right?

After I downgrade I will be adding the dining plan. So I will have 7 days on the plan.

I already called today and got in at Cinderellas Royal Table for dinner on Jan 31st. Thats the day we arrive and I know DD4 is going to be in HEAVEN.

My other TS choices that I will be calling to make ADRs for are:
Whispering Canyon
SciFi
Biergarten
Donalds Breakfastasaurus
Ohana

Thoughts? Suggestions?

It is my understanding is the DDP is for the number of nights you have at a disney resort, it is not based on your park tickets unles you are getting a special promo deal

so however many nights you have paid to stay at disney is how many credits you have

You probably should ask this question on the Theme Parks forum -- there are folks who regularly read and post there who have a very firm grip on what you can and cannot do with admission passes. My sketchy memory of those discussions is that no, you cannot downgrade. However, do check with them to be sure.

As pickles mentioned, the Dining Plan is related to how many nights there are in your hotel reservation. It doesn't depend on how many days of admission you have.
