We leave the 14th :goodvibes and I have read a lot or threads about the weather and what to pack. We are from the Midwest so I always hate lugging our big coats with but we have been there in December before when it was cold and you certainly needed a coat of some sort.

Today I was finishing my Christmas shopping and was at Kohls. In the boys section they had perfect jackets for WDW on a two day sale for only $12 ($11.99). They are lightweight and lined and even have at least one zipper pocket. While they were all in more masculine colors (black/red, dark blue/blue, and black/orange) I still picked up the blue one for me and the red one for my son. I'm an average size woman and the boys XL fit great with room for a sweater underneath. I liked them because they seemed the perfect weight, had a hood, there were pockets, and they weren't too bulky. If something happens to them or they get lost - no big deal as they are only $12. (Better than my son taking his beloved White Sox jacket and loosing it!)

Of course we will be packing layers and have warms socks and gloves.

I've been keeping an eye on the weather down there. We leave Sunday. I see the that the next few days are going to be in the high 60's during the day and low 50's and night. To us that will be warm, coming from MI where currently it's 19. It's terribly cold here. So I got my son's and I matching black fleece pullovers that will suit us fine. Of course we will be wearing our winter gear on the way there, so if it take a turn for the worse we will be ready! Keeping my fingers crossed for warm sunny days ahead!

we leave on the 14th and in checking the weather, i just noticed that there are supposed to be showers in the few days leading up to then. as we were there at the exact same time last year, we will probably pack layers and a light to medium jacket. and hope for no rain.

I saw the rain too - the day we have our Fantasmic package! Oh, well we have extra days later to go see it if we miss it. I'm not too concerned about the weather - It is still a long ways out in the weather world! Also, the least crowded days in the park the last time we were there in December was when it was cold and rainy. If you have packed well enough to withstand the elements then you are in for very low wait times! Yippee.

I'm in CNY, and my friend who is from FL is complaining how cold it is. I said "40? That's so warm!" :rotfl: It's so bad when we find 40's/50's warm!

It tends to be cooler early in the morning and late at night. It might not be super cold but when one is wearing shorts and there is a wind it can feel "cold" so we we usually do is dress in layers so you can take out or add as the temperature changes. Wish you the best :grouphug:

i've been checking up with accuweather all week... hope this is accurate for next week
