I am getting so excited for our trip! This will be our first anniversary celebration and I only have to wait 26 more days before we leave. :goodvibes

Last year we had our honeymoon at AKL during the Thanksgiving holiday, now we are going back right before Christmas (Dec. 9-17).

Who else will be there? Any advice on how to make this a memorable vacation?

AKL - Nov 2005
POFQ - Dec 2006

I will be at POFQ December 9-16

Me, mom and my two boys 10 & 13 :)

We were there the same week last year - it was wonderful - a little cool at times, but better than HOT, not crowded, pools heated, this will be my third time going to Disney during this week.

I think that just the fact that you don't have to fight the crowds or the heat can really help make the trip memorable - it gives you more time to relax and enjoy Disney.

I have only heard good thinks about POFQ so I'm really glad we are going there. I hope you and your family have a great time!! :woohoo:

:hourglass It's getting closer, I went into the local Disney Store yesterday and was filled with happy excitement.

I'll be sure to bring a few clothes to layer, it will definately be warmer than New Hampshire!!! :sunny:

POFQ Dec 2006 1st Anniversary !!

We'll be staying at POFQ from December 8-15.

Jane,
How cold does it get at night? Should we bring gloves or is layering enough?

my mom and I wore gloves - the boys didn't......
but dont worry if you forget - Disney sells everything that you will need :)
definately bring a jacket and clothes for layering. It was nice that the days were only in the low 70s last year - with the amount of walking we were doing I wouldn't have wanted it hotter.

We were visiting Disney last year during Thanksgiving and it was very chilly at night. We did end up buying jackets and sweatshirts to keep warm.

We are going back this year in December and we are packing a few layers so we will not be caught in the same situation. :cold:

I sure hope the weather is better there than New Hampshire! :sunny:

I agree, the weather has to be better then it is here in Michigan. JaneH, Thanks for the information. I'll make sure I pack some warm stuff! Have a great trip!

Hello MagicKisses2!!!Happy Anniversary!! We'll be at POFQ dec 7-14th! :Pinkbounc  Can't wait!!!! Check into carriage rides, they leave from POR.

Paula

Thank you for the tip, a carriage ride sounds great. :thumbsup2

By the way, I was on the Disney World website yesterday and noticed that many of the parks close by 7 pm / 8 pm during December. Does this impact what folks are going to do during the evening? :confused3

Thank God for magic hours!

We will be coming in on the 15th  and then leaving on the 27th :guilty:

Memorable? Just remember to have patience with each other and let the good times happen, remember to be able to adapt when things don't go as planned.

We went to downtown disney and had the cut shadows of girls profiles, and they love them. We got three made and came home put ours in an antique frame found at second hand store and they are just lovely! :goodvibes

THe girls love looking at them everyday as they come into our formal living room!

PS If you can opt out for the frames at Disney, cheap plastic ,,, get nicer ones for a better price at home!
