December Photopass Sharing Thread

Group #6

Our time has just about come. I leave on Friday. I have pm'd or emailed all of you & have got responses. Everything is running smooth. This is the order we will upload our pictures:

catigger
amcooper
roxannensteve
IlovemythreeC's
KimmyDisneyNerd
Shaun & Ashley

I didn't put the specific dates next to our names but it is starting off with catigger (Diane) who returns on 12/6 - when she finishes uploading, she'll let me know & I'll send the login info. to the next person & so on. Diane already has the login information since we all will be real busy the next day or so. Everyone remember, on these certain dates, we only need to upload - we can do any editing from the day you put your pictures till the day I tell Photopass we're ready for our disk.

Do not load your photopass card numbers into any account other than ours.

If anyone has any questions, go ahead & ask. I want to make sure everyone understand so we can all have some great memories.

Everyone have a wonderful trip!! :santa:

I would like to do a photoshare - but we are going to be there December 31st through Jan 6th. Should I try for a December group or a January group?

Thanks!

OK guys I leave in the morning. I am looking forward to getting a lot of pictures!!:cool1:

Just wanted to clarify- I understand not to upload my pics until my designated date, but I CAN check the pics out at the park without a problem, right?

Getting excited!

Thanks,

Megan

I was wanting to know this also. Where in the parks can we view them at? I don't think I will be able to stand waiting! Thanks.

Yes, you can view the pics in the parks without causing a problem with the shared online account. Each park has a place that's generally towards the front of the park. I'd recommend going during the middle of the day when it won't be busy. Towards the end of the day, they're very busy with people purchasing prints on their way out of the park. I'd suggest telling them that you just want to take a look at the pics on your Photopass card to be sure they're turning out OK and showing up. You're probably not going to be able to spend a lot of time viewing each picture individually, but I'm sure they'd let you take a quick look. The CM will be controlling the screen - you can't do it yourself, but you can see it from your side. Hope that helps!

We will be there dec13-17? Anyone have room for one more? We decided last minute to go and forgot to sign up for a photopass share. anyone? We did this in Sept and it worked out great.

I am trying to understand how some people in past photo sharing groups have so many pictures on their CD. I saw 1 group had 1900 pictures on theirs. When we do our "upload", are we just attaching our photopass number to the pictures taken by the photopass photographers or can we also upload our personal pictures to go on the CD as well? I realize that 1 photopass picture can turn into several when you add borders, etc., but I can't imagine 1 family having 200-300 pictures. We will probably only have about 10-15 pictures taken max, which would be well worth the $ we're paying. I just don't want to miss an opportunity because I didn't quite understand the entire process.

If anyone can clear this up for me, I'd appreciate it. We leave in 10 days.:santa:

Thanks,
Anne

I think 200-300 pictures for the average family's week long trip is about right. I'm leading a group of 6 now, and we have almost 1300 pics. One of my group only had 13 pics taken, but I'd say everyone else started with over 100, which turned into 200-300 when edited copies are made.

Maybe this example will help. Say we're a group of 5, Mom, Dad, 2 kids, & Grandma. We stop by the castle for Photopass pictures. We start with Mom, Dad & 2 kids. Photographer takes at least 2 pics of each pose to be sure at least one is good facial expressions. Then we add Grandma to the group, and get another 2-3. Decide it's a romantic spot, so we also want pics with just Mom & Dad. So, we've ended up with 6-9 pics from one stop at a photographer. I'd say we found 3-4 different spots to take pics each day in the park. So, maybe 27 pics a day on the low end. 6 days of that is 162 pics. I end up adding at least one edited copy online for each pic, so that number doubles to over 300.

I will say that we actively look for the photographers, and tell the kids up front that we'll be having lots of pictures taken. It's also possible to end up with lots of pics if you're just a couple. DH & I were alone on an Anniversary trip, and we ended up with almost 400 pics over 9 days!

My guess is you're thinking you'll stop 10-15 times to have pics taken. But each time you stop, you'll end up with multiple pics, which you'll turn into even more when you edit to add icons/signatures.

Also, personal pictures won't be on the CD. When you do your "upload", you're loading the pictures attached to your photopass card to your online account.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much. That was a very good explanation and I understand perfectly!! That's been bothering me for a while now. There's only 2 of us there for almost 5 days. Maybe we'll have more pictures taken than I think!!

Thanks again for taking the time to explain it!

I was wondering if anyone had any openings in their group. My family and I are going Dec 10-17. I know it is kind of late. I only found out about this board from a coworker and she was part of the Sept group. I can pay the leader asap w/ Paypal or can we start another group if there is any others interested? Thanks!

Grammy-

If you would like you can join our group (GROUP 8). Please email me at nrudder@gmail.com as soon as possible for more information

Thanks Nicholas for allowing me to join your group!!! I just sent over the payment via Paypal and look forward to getting the instructions. I hope that you all have a great trip. We leave this Monday and we are still not packed yet!! YIKES! So much to do so little time..lol

I'll be there December 9 - 16. I have two groups(my family of 4 and then my mom and sister). Would like to share costs with someone or have someone join our group. Would like a group of 4, thus need two others, making it $25 per group.

PM me and I'll check Friday, as well as Sunday/Monday/Tuesday from WDW. I do have a paypal account and can pay this way or accept payment this way.

I prepurchased the photopass CD. If anyone is going down in the next couple weeks and wants to join, let me know. I'll be there until Dec. 16th. Currently two in the group, will take 2 more. $25 a piece. PM if interested. I'll check again this afternoon as well as Sunday to Saturday.

Ken,

We're interested in joining your group. We will be there from Thurs the 13th thru Monday. We are newbies to this board - so I can't PM you yet.

Tim
