I did some returns and came out ahead at Target, Kohls, and ToysRUs, but I'm confused by the total amounts. (Ended up returning the toys DS says he doesn't want and picked up one small one that he does want, as well as getting a cheaper price on a coffee maker I got on Black Friday.) So, I won't call any of the past few days no-buys, but I did OK.

Virgderon, think of that as your Christmas gift to yourself. :goodvibes

Actually, I always BB sin I guess. I rarely use coupons. I find that I save just as much buying generic wihtout coupons. Now, if I get a coupon that is really good that is different, but more so then not I buy Wegman's brand and you can't use coupons for that. The only non-generic stuff you will find in my house is bought at Sam's Club cause the Wegman's stuff is so good.

I agree! Plus, the Wegmans brand is pretty cheap. Sometimes, even cheaper than my local no-frills grocery store. I don't use coupons all that much since having kids. It's not feasible for me when shopping with a 4 year old.

Had to get gas so I made a few other stops for stocking stuffers, a new extension cord as I can not find our long one, and I finally found one of the snowman mickey cookie cutters at Walgreens. I also ordered the free Disney calender from snapfish. I needed a new 2011 calender and spending only $6.45 on shipping and tax worked for me.

Charming, I was sitting here with nothing to do (we got delayed leaving.) DD16 came home from school with a rash. My mom's husband is in chemo right now so I thought we better take her in to make sure it wasn't anything big since they are at my grandparents now. It wasn't, but by the time DH got done with her there (I was busy getting my tire repaired) he had to take the cats to our friend's and we had a few other thing sto do and he decided he was tired and would rather sleep then leave, so we are leaving here around 2am. I am done packing (except for the cooler stuff) but the kids and I are staying awake so we sleep the ride away.

ANYWAY...(there is a point!) I read your blog. It was very touching, especially about your dad. I am sorry for your loss but it is apparent how special he was. How blessed yo uare to have such fond memories and how sweet the story was of your friend. I thought yo uwere going to say she was upset you got the doll, it was so nice to read it wasn't the case at all.

Well, I enjoyed it, wished there was more but I see you just started. OH, and I am just like you. I totally have to do everything last minute. I say I won't but until I have the pressure it just doesn't get done. I have always been like that even though it drives me crazy about myself. Oh, and the family room as the dumping ground...same here only it's my bedroom. Ugg, I want it to be this beautiful, relaxing place but it is the only room not off our house (it was an addition) so whenever someone is coming over things seem to get shoved in there. I will spend a week cleaning it perfectly and swear I won'[t ever let that happen again but it always does. Every time. :headache: Good to know I am not alone! :goodvibes

Hi Everyone!

I think I am ready to join in!! DH and I do try to have some no dollar days during the week - but we want to go to an envelope budget in Jan, and a goal of 10 no dollar days for the month - what else do I need to do?

Thanks so much!! Looking forward to saving money so we can travel more!!! lol

MickeyMomofThree, thank you for your kind words about my blog. Yes I just started it as I felt I need an outlet to write. I am glad that there are others out there to who leave everything to the last minute. It makes me feel more normal, lol. Like this morning I finally wrapped everything for my mom and kitty girls, which was hard to do with them both on the table with me.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and Safe Travels.

Christmas is tough for me, especially with older DD in Japan. We got good news yesterday. She got a full ride to University of Indiana law school. She has gotten into every law school she applied to, but this is her first full ride offer.

We went to SeaWorld today to distract ourselves that we are not with family. It was a lovely day. Their Christmas show and fireworks were really good!

Just wanted to hop on while we are on our way home to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We'll be getting home around 8pm, then the kids can finally see what Santa brought! They had a good time visiting cousins, though.

wlake, you're more than welcome to the snacky supper:rotfl:, maybe we should write an un-cookbook, the possible snacky combinations are endless!

virgderon, congrats on your daughter's full ride- that's amazing!

safe travels everyone!

Thanks Lattemom and Merry Christmas!

We had a nice quiet day today. I made a good Christmas dinner and we just enjoyed each others company.
