I want you all to know I am not a downer & I don't want to make it come off like this entire trip was bad (only half of it was - really

)
It doesn't seem to get better though. At
MVMCP we took a family picture with Santa using my camera. I knew I wanted to get a good shot to use as Christmas cards. I made them & sent them to be printed at
Walmart. I went to pick them up & they wouldn't let me have them. They said it was a professional picture.

I deffinitely wouldn't call myself a professional, but okay if you want to.

So I need to go back with my memory card to show them its mine, all mine.
Saturday, Dec. 1
No early morning today. We woke up when our eternal alarm went off, which would be Matthew. He started squirming so I got up but he went back to sleep. I got ready & by the time I finished everyone else was up. This hotel has the privacy curtains in the dressing area which I loved. Everyone took their time getting dressed, I put up some of the window decorations last night and this morning I was trying to salvage through a few more. All the Disney ones were messed the most & it looked strange without any Disney. So, I got a few Mickey things that were sort of okay. Steve helped me with this. He knew how bummed I was about it.
We ate the cookies & brownie from last night for breakfast. We headed to the bus stop to the Magic Kingdom. We didnt have to wait long at all. When we got on, there was also 2 wheelchairs needing to come on but the driver didnt know how to work the lift very well but we sat patiently. We were going to MK no worries there was a lady on there who sounded a little upset because she had caught the 7:00 bus & was there for 5 minutes to 8 & realized they forgot their tickets. So she went back & now it was way after 9. She told us bits about her vacation so far & she must be from these boards because she was a planner & Steve said she does things just like me. I told her everything was going to be okay, this was a minor setback & it probably only meant shed be in the right place at the right time for something else. And you know what? The next day we saw her in a parade at AK.
When we get to MK, I am amazed at the people here. Bumper to Bumper so to speak. But the Parade taping is happening. We head to The Barber Shop & there are about 5 families in line & another 4 inside but we have to do this. Steve sat with the boys while the stroller & I stayed in line. I leaned out to get a gum from Steve & some people walked up in front on me. I squeezed my way past them of course. This tended to happen lots. People cutting lines. Rude people in general. Very different from the past. For instance in the Barber shop, a family was with the lady cutting their hair, so the people in front of us went to the guy, after all it was their turn, then the man from the other group says actually, I am getting my hair cut too & hops in the seat. He was no longer in line. But, the nice family let it go, mumbling none the less, but I would have too. Next was our turn & we got Michael, the same guy who cut Taylors hair the 1st time. I loved that. He is so good with kids.
While we are in there we hear The Jonas Brothers performing & hear something about Hannah Montana. We saw a glimpse of Regis & Kelly.
After we finish there we were really off schedule. The time it took there went way over what I expected. But next thing on the agenda was Splash Mountain. Taylor absolutely loved it. LOVED it I tell ya. So, he rode once with me, then once with Steve.
(we are the 2nd seat - see me waving

)
Next we went to Carpets of Aladdin. This was the only day it would be open while we were there. Matthew thought this one was cool.
Then we were off to have lunch. This was at Pinocchios Village Haus. The menus I had been looking at were incorrect. So I had to make a quick decision. I went get a table, which was hard. I had to stand there & wait for someone to leave but we got a table overlooking its a Small World. So cool. Steve was making the order. I got chicken strips & fries & a Cannoli. The chicken strips were ok, I didnt like the cannoli. Steve got a Panini with chips & a chocolate shake for dessert. He thought everything was just ok. Taylor got Turkey & Cheese wraps, fries, grapes & a chocolate chip cookie. He really liked his except the wraps were made with wheat. He didnt care for that.
After lunch, which was late, we headed back to the room, again Matthew slept so Steve stayed with him & Taylor & I went swimming. I was prepared this time & went in too so I could be by the slide. I coached him a little on what to do & he now was a pro.
After bathes, we took the bus back to MK, then the monorail to Poly for dinner at Kona. I had the sticky wings which were good but a bit tangy, filet mignon with potatoes & asparagus. For dessert I had Kilauea Torte which was outstanding. Steve had crab cakes, same entrée as me & he ordered the Kona Kone to give to Taylor. Taylor had soup, hot dog & the sundae which he gave to Steve. When we left here, we were very full & raved about this place.
We then headed back to MK, rode a few rides, watched SpectroMagic, the fireworks, then called it a night. I'll leave you with 1 of my favorite pictures from Spectro
Up next, AK - Matthew's 1st encounter with characters (it actually went well

)
