December MaGiC or was it?!? TR starts Pg. 39

I'm already growing to like it. Everyone at work loved it. Even, I don't know if I should even say this here, a gay girl at the office said she thought it looked hot :upsidedow

I'll post some pics but right now I' holding the baby so he'll go to sleep. Funny thing he is. He thinks me typing is hilarious. He keeps giggling.

And nope I don't look like JLo but my hair does alittle look like hers. And Nikki & Ty, I also think latin & mexican features are beautiful. And you know as I type this I realize I said I'm american - duh - I meant caucasian. I am so embarrassed. And Ty - your children are gorgeous. Not sure if I've seen yours Nikki. I'll have go look at your report.

Let me tell you the whole story though. On our very 1st trip to Disney, we stayed offsite (I know, I know but I was young(er) & not as much the Disney freak I am now), We went to some mall they had - The Mercado or something. Don't remember. Anyways, we were browsing & DH went use the restroom. I waited outside for him. Well a guy, a mexican guy in cowboyish attire came and was getting a bit too friendly ;) DH started laughing when he saw because he always said that would happen one day. Another time, after DS1 was born, DH had a family picture in his wallet & a coworker of his saw it & said I didn't know your wife was a latino & DH just went along with it. And even, like everyday life, I attract Mexican guys. They have alot of them in our area working since Hurricanes Katrina & Rita. And these don't all look handsome like the one at The Mercado. Most are older. And they travel in groups. They always check me out, then say some things I don't understand. The only word they say that I know is latina. Then they start smiling alot. Sometimes it creeps me out. And I'm not saying they all creep me out, some are cutie pies (the ones near my age) but some look at me weird. So, you all understand what I meant. I already attract these guys & now, well, you know....

Let me change the subject here, some of you have kids older than me, some near my kids ages -how do you handle SEX questions?? Because tonight, DH yawned out loud & DS1 says to me "Mah, you remember when Daddy made that noise & you thought he was having sex?" :scared1: I know exactly what he was referring to. I was showering & I heard DH making noise. I yelled to ask if everything was ok & he didn't answer. So I went check on him & passed the comment that it sounded like he was having sex. :sad2: He really had a charley horse in his leg & was moaning & groaning from that. ;) So we go on to ask what does that mean? He says "When a man lies in bed & a woman lays on top of him." Remember he is 5 !!!! I say oh & how do you know this? He says he saw it on t.v. which I can believe. TV is horrible now days. So DH gets on me about watching what I say in front him. OKAY - WAIT, it gets better!!! DS1 continues to say "Yeah she does Daddy, just like when you say (and he talks in his best daddy voice) You wanna have some sez (yes sez) when we get home?" And DH does say this OFTEN. He has this strange idea that if used the word sez, no one would know what he was talking about. Fooled him, huh? I had to do everything not to laugh as its no laughing matter but his tone of voice OMG he sounded just like his Dad!!! So we drop it. When I was tucking him in a while ago, after his bedtime story, I tell him he really shouldn't say that word as its a bad word for kids to use, especially when you don't know the meaning. He says he does cause he saw it on tv. I tell him thats not what he saw because I lay close to Daddy sometimes and thats simply not what it means. But he says "No, the girl was sitting on the man, then would get up." So I tell him I bet they were just snuggling. Then I snuggled with him, tickled him, kissed him said "You see, all we were doing was snuggling." And he smiled & that was the end of that for now. So what or how would you have or did handle this stuff?

Honesty!! That's how you answer sex questions. But always make sure you say things like "marriage" and "love".

One day the boys asked me what the big "O" was. Oh my gosh I was horrified. Why me?? But I answered the best and most honest I could.

Then came "what is an orgy"? Now how in the heck do you use the terms marriage and love in that answer????

I really think the more honest you are the better. I mean he is 5 so you don't want to scare the heck out him, I'd start with telling him sex is something only mommy and daddys do. When you are a little older we will talk more about it.

Hope that helps a little. It is so embarassing when they ask those questions. But it's better they ask you and get the correct answer than ask a friend and get the wrong one. Could screw (no pun) them up a bit!!

What the heck are you watching in front of him!?:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I'm sorry. I'm sure you don't think this is funny, but I'm laughin! I think you handled it well with the cuddling, etc. You need to have a stern talking to w/ your hubby! Those men! Can't they think of anything else? (You mean they don't have a sex smilie?  ) I agree w/ the PP. Talk about it honestly, with an emphasis on love and marriage.

We have an All About Me book that briefly talks about where babies come from and has some pictures of the egg, etc. My DS said, "So how many tadpoles you have inside you decides how many babies you have?" Ummm...sure!

Hubby & I have had a stern talk, belive me :chat: !! I have no idea what we may have been watching on tv. We mostly keep it on the Disney channel :confused3 So, really, I believe in keeping it honest but how honest should I get with a 5 year old?? I don't really want to tell him thats how babies come because thats not how his baby brother came about - he is an itra-uterine insemenation baby :rotfl2: And he'd probably remember all my doctor's visits for that. But really, I don't want to go all into detail with him, you know? I think for now, we'll drop it & if I EVER hear DH say anything of the sort around te boys - LOOK OUT!!!!

Ya know I never had to really have that talk with my kids, our very informed older neighbor girl told my kids everything at the ages of 5 and 7. Jim told me what he and Reese had learned that day and it was right on. So I said yup, that's how it goes. Then I called the girls mother. That same girl also told Jim the truth about Santa, so when Jim came to me and said "erin told me that there isn't a Santa." Of course I told him she was wrong, he said "Erin said it's her parents who buy the presents." So I said sure, once the kids don't believe anymore the parents have to buy the presents, and then they get less. so needless to say, my kids still believe in santa. they probably always will cause I do. :)

Ty, are you sure we don't have the same ex?? He is part Mexican,(his dilusional mind thinks he is indian) so the boys are like 1/4.

I am really starting to wonder. Does your ex think he knows karate because he has watched every Bruce Lee movie a dozen times?

Does your ex truly believe he has Jedi powers?

Was your ex abandoned by wolves and raised by humans?:lmao: :lmao: (but still behaves like an animal)

Wow, 5 & 7, so I guess he is right on track - he'll be 6 next month. Just seems like I was so innocent still at that age. :confused3 WHAT!!!!???? THERES NO SANTA!!!! Of course I still believe too ;)

I've been seeing pictures of the food from dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern & been liking what I see. I've been seeing pics of Crystal Palace dinner & not sure. So those 2 may swap. But I really wanted to see the Pooh characters.... :confused3

Yikes! Samantha (7) hasn't asked any questions yet. Guess I better be prepared! She still believes in Santa too. (so do I :santa: )

I really liked the meal at Liberty Tree tavern, and goofy is my all time favorite it was a perfect meal. The lunch time food at Crystal Palace is just ok, but the characters were so much fun. You have a tough decision to make. I just did both! :cool2:

As promised - my new hairdo pics

(I know, you can barely tell  - thats what everyone said

What ya think?

Cute hair. Cute shirts. Isn't it funny how we stress over something (how we look) when others can't even tell!?

I need a haircut too. I know it's time when I pull my hair back every day!

I love the hair. Are you getting used to it? Love the shirts too - especially the Grumpy one. What a steal!

I got my haircut Friday and its shorter than its ever been. But I think I like it. I had a converstion with my hairdresser about Disney:

Him: So, any vacation plans coming up?

Me: Yes, we're goint to Disney in October!

Him: Oh, guess you have to do that if you have kids.

Me: What??? :confused3 I'd go with/without kids or even by myself.

Him: Well, they do have that cool Superman ride at one of the parks.

Some people have no clue! :)

I know - its great to have DIS friends who will appreciate a story like this! :flower3:

I'm in! :hippie: I think we'd get over our guilt pretty quickly. We can bring the kids back a nice souvenir!

It would be the best planned Disney trip ever with all of us SUPER planners in charge! I would love a girls only trip to "the world"! One of the shirts that I am making for me for our trip says "What happens in Disney, stays in Disney". I love it. I got it from another designer. I can't remember who, but it's 3 Minnie heads with her hands doing the "hear no evil, see not evil..." sign. Very cute!
