Resort: OKW
Room #: 1621
Size One Bedroom Lockoff kind
Smoking or non: Non
handicapped?: No
dist. from elev. : No elevator
patio: yes

comments: we were surprised that we liked the location, close enough to HH and Peninsular bus stops. Close to main pool. Room in good shape, no problems there. DVD and flat top stove.
Old style with out the door to the bathroom from the laundry room.

Resort- BWV - 12/6 - 12/13/2003

Room # - 5090 - Preferred view overlooking Luna Pool, Swan & Dolphin, canal to MGM, Dedicated one bedroom.

Smoking or non - Non-smoking

handicapped? - No

dist. from elev. - Moderate - we were third villa from the end of the shorter wing that surround the Luna Pool. Very quiet.

patio - Small, just enough for two chairs & small patio table

view - Please see above under room - this was exactly the view we requested and we really enjoyed it.

comments - Villa was very clean, most of the living room furniture looked new (I understand that this wing was renovated last year). We were very happy that we were able to get the room at 12:30pm but...when we unlocked the door, we found out that housekeeping was not finished! We called the front desk, the housekeepers returned immediately (the housekeeper was upset that the room was released to us before they were through). This was not a problem, we left to walk the Boardwalk and eat at ESPN. Everything was perfect when we returned. Wonderful trip, loved the room.

I forgot to add that the living room at BWV 5090 had a new SONY DVD/VCR & new SONY TV (27"?)

Resort - OKW
Room # - 4021
(If Boardwalk, was it boardwalk, garden or standrd view))
Size (Dedicated or Lockoff; if lockoff which room is which type)
Smoking or non - NON
handicapped? - NO
dist. from elev.
patio - Balcony
view - Small pond
comments - Down Turtle Pond Rd - right off the turnaround for buses - surprisingly quiet tho - room was one of the next batch on the rehab list - altho not too many problems - they did replace the coffee table and sofa side table while I was there

This is from a late October 2003 trip that I took. Not sure if you can use the info or not.

Resort - OKW
Room # - 2311, I believe
Size - 1BR Lockoff
Smoking or non - Non
handicapped? - No
dist. from elev. - No elevator
patio - Small, but plenty of room for two to unwind

view - Looking to the right from the patio, there was the road with the view of the Hospitality House and the place where the ferrys leave from. Straight ahead there is a view of a small lake. To the left (through some trees) you can see a particular hole on the golf course.

comments - Overall we were very pleased with the condition of the unit. Aside from a crack in one of the tiles in the bathroom, there wasn't any noticable problems with the unit.

By the way, is this information going to anywhere in particular to get posted?

Is there anywhere that I can find a list of room reviews all together?

We took our trip from 12/6 thru 12/14

Resort - OKW
Room # - 2315
Size - 1BR Lockoff
Smoking or non - Non
handicapped? - Yes
dist. from elev. - N/A
patio - Table four charies, and electrical outlet to hang our x-mass lights

view - Looking to the right from the patio, there was the samll lake near the main road with the fountain in it. Straight ahead there is a view of the lake and green to golf course. To the left trees and golf course.

comments - We were pleased with our room, and it was clean upon arival. The sofa bed had some broken springs, but it was not a problem for our kids, but could have been an issue with an adult. We were not crazy about only having one door access to the bath room, this may be a hadicapped room thing.

The files can be found as follows:
http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/boardwalk.pdf
http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/beachclub.pdf
http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/wildernesslodge.pdf

They are pdf files, so if you don't have acrobat, you can download it for free at:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

I generally save all the comments I get and update the site once or twice a month depending on how many new reports I get.

I never strted an OKW list, I think Simba's Mom has one. I don't know if anyone else is keeping one or not. I guess if not, and there are no volunteers stepping forward, I could take it on, but it won't get up and running until mid Feb. This is my busy season at work and than I reward DD and I with a Disney trip in Feb.

The one door was not due to it being handicapped. Rooms in buildings 29 & under only have the 1 entrance into the master bathroom. 30 & higher have two (second phase of construction).

Sany I emailed you earlier thsi week. Were you abel to get it? If not, I'll reply agagin. :)

Resort OKW

Room # 2814, one parking lot over from Peninsula Drive bus stop

(If Boardwalk, was it boardwalk, garden or standrd view))

Size (Dedicated or Lockoff; if lockoff which room is which type):
dedicated 2 bedroom without extra door to laundry

Smoking or non: non-smoking

handicapped? no

dist. from elev. N/A 1 st floor room

patio: yes

view: would have been golf course, but shrubbery blocked all the view.

comments: It appeared that maybe this room had not been used in a while as the ice in the icemaker had freezer burn, all frosted over.

Some knobs missing off one of the kitchen cabinets. Lighting was dim. no extra trash bags in kitchen trashcans.

If you used the garbage disposer, whatever you put down the disposer would shoot up out of the drain on the other side of the sink. First time this happened, it was oatmeal, ended up with oatmeal out as far as the carpet and all over the backsplash.

Second time this happened, even with stopper in the drain it was the cranberry relish that made just a delightful mess. :crazy2:

Yes, I'm keeping one on the 1 BR's at OKW (writing down all these great reports to add)-thinking of expanding it to include all size rooms there. Also, all size rooms at HH. I started keeping just the studios at BCV, but InstImpres has all sizes.
So anyone at HHI, please include yours.

VWL

Room #5544

Size: 2 bdrm

Smoking/non smoking: Non smoking

Handicap: YES

View : a little woods but could see the buses pull up.

Distance from elevator: around the corner and 1/2 way down the hall.

room was clean. We were a little dissapointed in it being handicap. The second bedroom did not have a counter vanity. just a tiny sink in the bathroom. also it didn't have the little counter bar which we missed. On our last trip it was so convenient for my daughter to sit and eat at.

December 10 - 14

Beach Club Villas

Room # 525

Size; Studio

NON smoking

Handicapped YES BUT the bathroom did have a TUB with rails. The sink, however is in the bathroom and there was NO closet..instead the TV armoire had 2 small storage areas on the side that held the iron, ironing board and portacrib. There was little drawer space.

View: Beach Club and green folliage area

Small balcony

Distance from elevator: first room on the right

Room was very clean and in good repair. The handle to the bathroom door was a tad loose due to the fact that it was a pocket door and visitors probably slammed it into the jam more than once. This room was doable for just my DH and myself for a short stay, but with the limited storage space for clothes, it would make living out of a suitcase the only option for a longer stay.
There was NO vanity space in the bathroom and I miss having the sink outside in the room.
