Is there anything special that goes on for the holidays during the first week of December? Special shows, decorations, activities, Etc... Thanks!

Don't know about special shows but I read on another post that they decorate the ships just after Thanksgiving for the holidays complete with a large tree in the atrium. Several folks have commented on how pretty and festive the decorations are.

We sailed on 12/13 last year. The ship was beautifully decorated for the Holidays, especially the huge tree in the atrium. The activities I remember are: tree lighting ceremonies both in the atrium (the 1st or 2nd night of the cruise) and on CC; gingerbread house making and one night Mrs. Claus made an appearance for the children. CC was also decorated and it even "snowed"! The shows were not changed.

We loved our December cruise so much that we are sailing again this year! We cruised the 10th last year and the ship was so beautiful! Make sure to get tickets as soon as you can for the Gingerbread House Decorating activity! You don't want to miss out!! Also, you will want to take TONS of pictures in front of the tree, the huge gingerbread display, and with the characters in their holiday attire! I love our picture with Santa Goofy!!

You are going to enjoy yourselves so much!

Anyone on the 4-night last December? I'm curious if the activities mentioned above are available on the shorter cruises???

Can't wait to see the decorations for myself! When we booked everything, I was so excited about the decorations at WDW (and UO), that I didn't even think about the Wonder being decorated!

we did a 4-day last December -- here is a listing of some holiday themed activities from our navigators:

sunday:
christmas tree lighting ceremony 8 p.m.

monday:
gingerbread house design-registration 10 a.m. for Wed activity
storytime with Mrs. Clause - 5 p.m.

tuesday:
Twas the Night before Christmas presented by Mrs. Claus - 10 p.m.

wednesday:
gingerbread house design - 10 a.m

that's really all I see but the ship is beautifully decorated, I do believe I remember tropical reg-gae type christmas music in PC and different holidays music throughout the cruise.

also - we were welcome to CC by a quarter of carolers! that was cool

you will have a fabulous trip!!
