Trying to decide if this is a good deal or not. I normally fly in Feb/Mar/Apr to FL so anything under $200 is good. I am getting a price of $156 from Song/Delta and American. Any experience from other's traveling from Boston to Orlando in December??? What have you paid??

Have to say that I would have jumped on that fare right away!!! I was thrilled with $165. ($138 plus tax)

The December fares vary greatly depending on when you fly. If you fly very close to Thanksgiving or Christmas you will find some fares are high. Thanksgiving is early this year, so that shouldn't have affected you too badly as your $156 fare shows. I'd probably lock in as the potential savings are less than $50 per ticket which isn't usually worth waiting to save.

The fares are also affected by when competition releases their fares. As JetBlue and SWA haven't opened up December 2005 sales, your $156 is pretty good. You can wait until April for JetBlue to open up December and a bit later for SWA to see where fares go if you want to see if something comes up. If you're really one to roll the dice, then wait until late August or early September when the fall fare sales are released and you can get $49 each way if you travel Tuesday to Thursday.

Try jetBlue...we got got roundtrip Logan to Orlando for 115.00 each (which included taxes etc...) the dates are for the end of January, but still...I'd give them a look.

We paid $69 each way on Jet Blue this past December and that was over Christmas (12/19-12/27). I know they were offering $59 each way for travel before December 15th. We loved Jet Blue but I know they are not selling through December right now.

$156 is a good deal, you could probably get cheaper if you are willing to wait it out. Of course that can be risky. I hate the airline game!

Thanks everyone. I think I will keep watching prices, and I am a little flexible on dates.
