December 9, 2012 Disney Dream Cruise Meets

i thought if they discounted the tickets we get a refund of the discount if it applies to us?

So getting immersed in these boards as it gets closer. I was getting concerned about noise and not being able to sleep directly under Nemo's Reef and seating area, so we have changed our cabin. We are now in 9074 (for FE), sorry for trouble.

Me my dd(5) and parents are going on this cruise im a single mom who gives road test for a living. Taking my parents as a present for watching my dd as I did 5 weeks of training! Looking forward to some quiet non life threatening time!! And I'd love to do the FE how do I sign up???

You just did. I'm adding you to the first post as part of our list. I will send a private message to you with my e-mail address. Send the first names of the participants for any personalization, your e-mail address, your cabin number if you know it, if your celebrating something special (and want everyone to know), usually ask for kids age, but its in your post.

I'll then send you our excel spreadsheet with the rest of the participants. Welcome aboard.

I'll be resending the spreadsheet out hopefully this weekend. If you have any adds/deletes or corrections to my last version. Please remind me. I have removed Mom323, adding Nataliej_k, corrected cabins sent. Anything else?

Also, any other ideas about a Meet and Great time. i was thinking about somewhere around 3:00 or 3:30 in Club 687. Should be out of the way, quite, and just before muster drill. Please give input?

Thanks,
Christopher (who really needs a vacation)

I am assuming "corrected cabins sent" refers to stuff like our cabin change I posted?

Also a question is it common or frowned upon to share pictures of our FE hangers here before cruise? Not trade/gift items of course.

Anyone else in the first dining seating?

Yes, that is one of number changes.

I don't see why you shouldn't It's a good way to hype yourself for the trip. Share away!

We are in the first seating. We normally eat between 5:30 and 6. Can't imagine waiting till 8ish for food. I may eat my shoes!!!

Me and my family are on first dining as well trying to keep my dd on as close a schedule as possible to how it works at home:) always makes the trip less spotted with tantrum close calls ;)

687 at 3-ish still sounds great to me!

I can't wait to have a nice 687 in 687 on 687. :-D

(Although I think 3-ish is when they usually do the spa raffle, if anyone is interested in that... and when did we decide that the DVC thing might be?)

Obviously it'll never be possible to do everything... just throwing it out there...

I'm glad we're getting more people... at this rate my friend and I are going to be giving out FE gifts to random children in the halls... I think we made too many...

According to some old navigator's the DVC thing is around 2:30? Around the corner in Evolutions. Not sure what to expect for DVC members on time commitment there, but hoping they may be able to start at one and migrate over.

Does anyone happen to know if the kids clubs open houses all happen at the same time? Were wanting to visit the little kids one for my 5 year old. But think my older daughter falls in a transition phase of sorts where she can choose between edge and vibe. I don't know if that is a decision that has to be made in the beginning and stuck to or if she can go to both if she qualifies for both.

I had seen a fairly recent Navigator but then I lost where it is and can't seem to find it again. I should have saved it to look better at it. Looks like it will be quite overwhelming, we have never been on a Disney Cruise and having our daughters ages so far apart could be a task to figure out that first day to get in those open house things.

We choose the 1st dining to keep our schedule similar to home as well. I can't imagine waiting till after 8 for dinner, especially with kids. I was beginning to think we were doing something weird though with all the posts on other thread about people preferring late seating for activities.

When do we get our 1st Navigators for the cruise?

Some people seem to think that you are handed one when you check in or when you first board, that's never happened to me. ... I've always gone to guest relations, rather than waiting in line (if there is a line) there is usually a table right by guest relations that has a holder with a bunch of navigators in it.... Or you can just ask them for one at guest relations if you have anything else to ask or take care of.

Then, during the turn-down service each evening, your room steward will leave the next days navigator.

Just curious if the new excel sheet has come out? I have not received it.

Do we have a cutoff date for the FE?

Sorry I have been a little overwhelmed with my personal life. It's done, but I just keep forgetting to send it out when I get home.

Our cutoff date is Sunday the 14th exactly 8 weeks before our trip!

I am so behind schedule!!!!!!

Not a problem at all. I completely understand. I just wanted to make sure my email or cyber space didn't eat it LOL.

I know what you mean about behind schedule. I am still stewing and debating on the FE gifts. Haven't even started my FE hanger.

Same here had about 5 ideas that were great, but couldn't find the materials I was looking for. Finally think I have something I could be proud of. The hanger... Bought the fabric but need to clean off the dining room table to cut it out. I'll get it done but its going to be a race if I don't get to it soon.

Tracy, were you able to find out when the kids club orientation is? My DD would also love to go, she is very excited, but kind of apprehensive about going there by herself - we usually travel with friends or family.

On another note, I'm starting to investigate the making of the fish extender -and although they are expensive to buy, the thought of purchasing one is looking better and better to me! LOL...

I'm not a big fan of sewing (and don't have the talent my mom has for it anyway...) but wondering if I can glue one together? hahaha....

getting excited - can't believe the cruise is only 8 1/2 weeks away. Seems like when I booked this, it was forever ago. :goodvibes

Is anyone else arriving early and staying at WDW before hand or are most of you arriving the day of Dec 9? we are coming in early so just wondering what everyone else was doing.

Take care and can't wait to meet you all. Laura
