December 8th-14th anyone??? Let's chat

Hi! We are going to be at Pop from the 8th-14th. Here are our ADRs:

12/9 10:30am Lilo & Stitch bfast @ Ohana
6:10pm Whispering Canyons (this might change as this is also our MVMCP date)

12/10 4pm Garden Grill for 6:45 CP (Steven Curtis Chapman is our fave)

12/11 3:30pm Crystal Palace

12/13 BBB, followed by 1900 Park Faire Cinderella's Feast.

We had hoped to do Donald's Safari breakfast on 12/12, but as we can't make the ressies for that still, we are talking about maybe doing Chef Mickeys in there somewhere instead...

We will be at the Sports from December 9th thru the 19th.

Our new thing for this trip will be to see the ICE show off site.

No ADR's made or planned as we will have only been home a few weeks for a 24 day Free Dining tour and will still be stuffed.

Hope to see you all there!

Slightly Goofy

DH and I will be in POR 12/10-14.
10/14 California Grill @ 8pm

Best Wishes to Chris!!

Hey there. Welcome. This is our first time at the Pop too. We usually stay offsite, my mom has a time share so it is free. But last trip we spent too much money on food, so we figured it was cheaper to stay onsite with the dining plan.

Hi all! DH and I are going to be at CBR from the 8th-15th (tentative - could change to Sun. or Mon. arriv. and 16th or 17th depart.) This will be our first trip anywhere alone! (28yrs and youngest is 18) :woohoo: I've been keeping a careful eye on flights/times, but haven't booked the resort or any ADRs yet. We are doing the Dining Plan w/1 full meal, 1 counter serve, and 1 snack included daily. I also want to see MVMCP and the Candlelight Processional. I would also like to skip over and see ICE that someone else was talking about on a post earlier.
I'm thinking ADRs won't be as necessary since we're not doing the character meals and there are only two of us. Am I really offbase with that? :confused3 (Long story, I haven't been to WDW since '96?,but I just finished doing a bunch of research for a DIS game I was in, and know it's a slow time at WDW, lines are shorted, etc. I'm assuming restaurants follow suit? )

One thing I do know for sure is that I'm very excited about this trip!!! I'm subscribing to this thread so I don't forget to check back!

If they only knew that you are probably more excited about getting away from them as they are to be away from you, for a bit of time at least. :cool1:

We will still stuffed from our Sept/Oct trip so I see a whole lot of Golden Corral in our future on the December trip.

Since we have already eaten at almost everywhere on property, with the only places we have not being not 'our thing' anyway, it is no big deal to find somewhere to eat. Relaxing way to go.

Hope to see you at the ICE show!!:woohoo:

What ice show are you talking about?

Hi! We'll be going Dec. 9-15 and staying at SSR. It's our home resort and the first time we'll be staying there. My DS is turning 5 on the 12th so this is a celebration trip. Our ADR's are:
12/10 Restaurant Marrakesh dinner
12/11 LTT and then MVMCP
12/12 Lunch at H&V at MGM (DS's birthday and he loves Little Einsteins)
12/14 Dinner at Boma
We don't usually make alot of ADR's so this is a lot for us. DH likes to play it more by ear, but he finally realized last year that you just can't do that anymore if you want table service. We've never been in December before so this will be a new experience for us.

The ICE show is at the Gaylord Palms which is off site. I have never been but you can Goggle it and see the incredible pictures and determine if it is something you might like.

Thanks, it looks so cool .How far away is it from the Disney Resorts?

Just changed our dates from Oct 13-21 to Dec 8-16. We went last year the same week and it was awesome:banana: No better time at Disney then Xmas :santa:

For those who have not been, the MVMCP is great. Nothing like walking down mainstreet and having it snow on you.

Candlelight Processional was really good. We didn't get tickets but stood oustide the entrance. You could see and hear everything. We just got a glass of wine and relaxed. Even dd who was 2 enjoyed the music.

Plan on doing both again this year and making it to the Osborne lights. We kept saying we would go tomorrow and never made it last year.

Huggiebear - where on LI?

Welcome to our little group. :santa: :santa: :) :) I have never been to Disney during Christmas time. I am so exicted. I plan on doing everything. Where are you staying? Do you have adr's? List them here. I will post them here.

I am in Lindenhurst. We are neighbors? Are you flying out of Islip? That would be funny if he had the same flight.

We are flying southwest out of Islip. Only way to go now. I can't bring myself to go to Laguardia or JFK anymore unless absolutely neccessary.

I haven't actually changed my flight yet. Have to do that today. We were supposed to go in Oct and I had the flight booked, but we REALLY loved xmas last year so decided to change it. I made my hotel reservation at CBR (we love it there). We stayed at Poly once but that was because I was proposing and wanted the trip to be special. Can't afford that anymore :sad1: so we usually stay at the CBR. It's as close to the Poly atmosphere as we can get.

You are staying at the POP, correct? How is it? Never been there.

ADR's:
12/8 - None. We always eat at Cosmic ray's 1st night.
12/9 - Not sure yet. Want to go to Osborne Lights so either eat at hotel or maybe MGM.
12/10 Chef Mickey 6:10
12/11 - CRT 1:30. Not sure of Dinner yet.
12/12 - Ohana 6:50
12/13 - Probably going to MVMCP so grab something at hotel or MK
12/14 - Tony's 1:10
Beirgarten 6:30
12/15 - Last Full day so we can't waste time at TS. Too many rides to do  . Just grab something at a CS
12/16 - Last day. CS

If you have any questions about xmas time let me know. I'll answer whatever I can.
