It's official. I booked our flight today for Dec. 8th-14th. We're planning to stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort and use the dining plan. I have a question: since it's just dh and I, how necessary are ADRs for regular meals (i.e. not character) for that time of year?

We're planning for Dec 5 to 16, currently booked at the Dolphin but watching for a code. Looks like there are lots of DIS'ers going that week! I'm really looking forward to Disney at Christmastime for the first time - I've been in Aug and Sept/Oct, but never around the holidays.

Dec 6: Lunch at Sci-fi, Dinner at ESPN Club or Kimonos
Dec 7: Adult night out, Kids at Camp Dolphin, Dinner at Shula's and drinks around the World

Planning for December kind of got put on the back burner since we booked last week for a quickie trip in August, so some of the above might change as park hours change and I revisit the plans with another trip's worth of experience under my belt, but I'm pretty happy with what I have so far. All the reservations I can make are made, and since we're not doing anything non-refundable just yet (because of the possibility of another trip that might conflict), I don't need to start looking for airfare just yet.

I am just so excited/nervous about flying.....it will be a short flight and I will have my iPod to watch my favorite person's concert videos on so that will keep me busy.....hopefully.......our flight leaves New Orleans at 6:25 a.m., so between being tired from being "too excited to sleep"....and the Atavan that the Dr. gave me....maybe I'll sleep....

These codes everyone is talking about..........what are they.....are they good if you have a package with the dining plan???? How do they work???

I am sure you will be fine flying. I think the codes are for annual pass members. They get special codes for room only packages.

I didn't know MK stayed open until 11pm on Saturday Dec. 8th- our arrival day. I hope I read that correctly.

Family and I will be down Dec 6-14. Currently we are planning 3 nights at WL and the rest on points at BCV. Hoping for a code at a monorail resort though for the first three nights.

Does anyone know what is going on the 5th and the 6th?? For some reason trying to get a room around the MK on the night of the 6th is darn near impossible, but on the 7th alot more free up.

Huggiebear23...might I suggest the Crystal Palace for your dinner on the 11th, especially if you are going to MVMCP that night. In past years this has worked out great to get an early ADR for CP, have a great character meal, let the day crowd at MK leave the park, and then it is just the partygoers. Just a thought. I have also had good look at Liberty Tree Tavern on MVMCP nights as well.

MK is open to 1am on 12/8. Take a look at disney's website they list all the hours of each park. I think about a week or so ago they increased the hours. I hope not because it is very crowded! We were there last year the same week and the crowds were really low. Hope they are the same this year.

We always loved going in Jan./Feb. - crowds are very light. It has been cold. Got to 32 degrees last year, but we sleep in a little and start our day a little later and we are fine. But I am so excited to see the Christmas decoration this year.
