December 7,2013 Wonder from Galveston

Well I just officially booked our very first Disney cruise for my little family, which includes myself, my husband and our 3year old son! My son is going to do flips when he realizes what we are doing, he has noooo idea!! I would love some advice from those of you who are experienced cruisers :cool2: All of the basics would be appreciated...what time to get to the port, what to pack & what not to pack, things like that would be helpful. Oh and any special advice would be awesome too. I just don't want to over pack and have too much to try and store in our room and also lug around.

Hi my name is Amanda and this will be our 1st cruise. My DH (Randy) and our 4 Year old (Ansley) are very excited about join on this adventure. Looking forward to getting to know each of you and cant wait to be on board. :)

Howdy and welcome aboard! :goodvibes I'll try to find the packing list link from disboards and post it in a bit, but there is a whole thread on it that would do way more justice than I could think of. Last time we went, we overpacked. This time I hope we manage to get it down to a smaller amount. :thumbsup2

Howdy and welcome aboard as well! :goodvibes We took our two kids on the last cruise (4 and 2 when we did that one) and both had a blast. The kids club was great and the first time we went to go check on our son, he yelled at us "WHY ARE YOU HERE!!!!!" when he had initially told us he was not sure if he would like it or not. :lmao: We left him to play, obviously, after he had decided he loved it.

Hi, everyone! I searched for this group way back when we booked this sailing and didn't find anything but now here it is! This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. We sailed on The Magic from Galveston in October and are excited about the different itinerary, especially Castaway Cay! Our family includes myself, Kristi, my husband Jake, daughter Lauren (7), and son Lane (5). We kept the first cruise a secret right up until we arrived at the port. So far they don't know about this one but I'm not sure how long we will keep it a secret or how we will tell them. I think I might value their input in planning this time but not sure how long I can take the "is it time yet" questions! Can't wait to do FE again. That was truly one of the biggest highlights of the cruise for the kids.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we've decided on a cut-off date to join the FE group. October 26th will be the last day we will accept new families to participate in the exchange.

This gives ample time for those who need to start crafting or start shopping for FE gifts!!!!!

So, if you haven't done so yet, please join our FB group (see post a few pages back for the address and instructions) and let us know you'd like to join us over there!!!

Hello just booked our 2nd Disney cruise we were on the Magic back in February. We had a wonderful time my husband said its time again haha. My name is Tracy my husband is Jason and our daughter will almost be 3 when we cruise her name is Shelby. We live in Cypress Texas. I would like to join the FE group. We had a great time talking in the halls and meeting everyone. Can someone help me with things to do with a 3yr old in key west and Nassau. I asked to join the FB page too. I have lots of tips if its anyone's first time that were a big help on our last cruise!

We haven't booked yet, but that's just a technicality. My mother and I will be taking this cruise because of the sale and the fact that we probably won't have an opportunity to sail from Galveston again. We live in Oklahoma, so it is a pain getting to Port Canaveral! This is my 3rd cruise and my mom's second, my second cruise on the Wonder. My mom only sailed on the Dream, and I think she will prefer the smaller ship. I know I do!

Ok, will the ship change to eastern time or will it stay on central time? This is important to me as to the dinner times. Thanks for the help in advance! :confused3

Howdy and welcome aboard to all the newcomers, kcb991, tbddolphin, Wikiwiki, and cakebaker! :goodvibes

The fb link isn't working for me. Just booked today and can't wait!

Hmm. I just tried it from this post and it worked. May be because we're in the group already. If you get your DISboard post count up to the level for sending private messages, if you PM me or DizneGal your facebook name, we can add you to the FB group.

A quick way to get the post count up on the DISboards is to post in the Welcome thread : http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=83
Just need to say hi and welcome to about 5 or 10 times. I forget what level you need before PM'ing comes about. I think it was 10? :confused3

Hope that helps!

I did a bit of searching on DISboards, but can't find a good answer for you. Maybe my search terms were wrong. I can't remember what time they used, but it was "ship" time, if I remember correctly. I think the clock times may have changed for excursions, but I don't remember. Sorry and hopefully someone else has the right answer!

Just tried it again and doesn't work for me. WikiWiki is my daughter and she can't get it to work either. Guess I'll get chatty and run up my post count. Thanks!
