For the record, it has been 5 yes I said 5 years since I have been to Disney parks....2007.....so I soooo need to go. I'm really being pulled by talking my daughter into going or taking that money as I really need new bathroom floors in both of my bathrooms and getting them done.!!!! I have been looking at tiles already but havent come to a full decision yet.....I already spent a lot of money this spring and summer, a new patio door and a new driveway.....so what to do??

Well its Friday now this day just needs to speed by.....

Sulley and I have been planning our May trip and just reached our 7 month DVC window this past weekend so we moved over to BWV, as we have never stayed there. We planned 8-11 May for Universal (yes, we are going to the DARK SIDE ) and 11-19 at BWV. Just getting ready to start planning our ADRs. Sulley was telling his mom all about it when he talked to her Wednesday night. (she lives in Tucson)
Today I get an email from my Sis-in-law...Sulley's brother and his mother decided LAST NIGHT she would fly up to visit them in NY and they would take her on a trip to Ohio to see her sister and then down to us to see us and her great-grandchildren. Dates? 7-21 May.

And without a mention to us about these grand plans, they bought airline tickets
we have ours purchased for May as well.

I love my family I love my family I love my family.......

just hope it works out.....

but I do understand about familes....we can have a 7 day discussion about them.... and still not be finished on the topic.... of course it would be all about Wally's side of the family...my side is perfect

I need to stop spending my house renovation on holidays! The joys of going from a new house you designed and built yourself to an older one that desperately needs modernising, so you always look at it with a jaundiced eye Like I tell everyone though, in 20 years time my kids wouldn't be telling their kids about the exciting times they spent picking out tiles and paint samples

On my trip I did 3 days in Sydney, 3 in Melbourne, 3 in Ayers Rock/Uluru, and 3 in Cairns. It was a great trip, wish I would have had more time. But like you said, you live in a vast and diverse country and it would take years to see it all. I am glad I at least got to visit once.

Ah, Melbourne. I think it's the most beautiful city in Australia

One day we'd like to see Darwin. DH isn't into cities but Darwin is quite small and has a fair bit of military history. Cairns is nice too with the rainforest going right up to the beach but development is threatening its beauty I think.

Starting to do a little prep for the pending hurricane. Looks like it's going to get pretty nasty here the next 5 days or so. We should start to see some of the first rain and wind on Sunday and the worst is to hit on Monday. We jsut keep hoping a miracle occurs and it turns right instead of left.

Our house is 18 yrs old...we had it built but at that time I didnt do a lot of upgrades as I could not afford it...so I still have the old linoleum floors in both the bathrooms...I really want tile floors so I think it about time. I dont have huge bathroom's but they are both "decent size" so I dont think the tile will cost alot, but I would get someone to lay it....Wally is very handy but with his bad back, I dont think he should be doing that.

anyway....once I get a price on the tile, I may still decide to convience daughter to take a trip with me

We have a 110 year old tudor in Philadelphia, so we feel the pain about renovations. Always something needing fixing.

We get some of our work done through home depot or lowes and take advantage of the no interest

'Morning everyone! Hope everyone is ready for a lovely weekend! I just got my hair cut, and have an appt for a pedi at 12:30. Luggage has been pulled from the storage room and laundry is running!

Ok, you leaving Wednesday and just pulling your luggage today....Mine is out about 2-3 weeks before we leave....I have to start the "practice packing" since I dont have to put my summer clothes away till after the cruise....this way I know what I really need to bring and what to leave behind....I have such OCD when it comes to packing.....

I have been all over these boards and on cruise critic looking at picutres of the ship, I already told Wally we are hitting each bar (not at the same nite) and having a drink in each...plus there are other areas of the ship I cant wait to see....actually I just cant wait to see the whole darn thing in person

OH, but I have stacks and stacks of 'outfits'...Sulley won't pull the luggage for me until the weekend before a trip and it's on a shelf way above my head...so it would brain me if I tried! It's nested so I would be probably smushed!

The cats are mad at me because the guest room bedroom is where they like to sleep during the day and when we are getting ready for a trip, the bed is covered with stuff and bags...and I close the door. They will be happy when things are in the bags and I open the door back up. Little do they know that means they are headed to the 'spa' for 10 days!
