Does anyone have some current menus? Aslo- my mom insists i ask- Can you really take alcohol on board, how much and what is the best way to do this? She also wants to know if there is any lobster on board- Geez! :confused3
Thank you everyone!

I saw menus on the castaway club website - I don't have it here with me but can post the link later tonight.

It is my understanding that lobster is not available on the 3 & 4 day cruises but I could be wrong.

And YES you can bring alcohol on board - best way is to probably CAREFULLY pack it in your luggage - wrapped in bubble wrap and inside a sealable plastic container - just in case it breaks.

Besides checking out Castawayclub.com (you can also see recent 3 day Navigators there too) you can go on the Dis DCL FAQ thread on the Disney Cruise Line link here on Disboards.com to see menus.

They did not have lobster on our 4 day cruise in 2005, unless it was on the seafood buffet which I did attend one day for lunch. They did have it on the Thursday night dinner of our 7 day Magic cruise in May.

I have not brought alcohol on board, but I have consistently read that other Dismembers have reported bringing rolling coolers onboard with water, beer, wine, etc. They have to go through the security xray machine, so you cannot add ice until you board. The coolers would come in handy if you are going on excursions and bring your own water or drinks along. We did bring a small collapsable cooler along on our last cruise for that reason.

Ok....I can't wait much longer for the US mailman, UPSman or the FedEx guy to bring our papers for the cruise. How will we receive these? When should we be receiving them? I want mine yesterday! I can't wait

Still no paperwork for us. We got ours via UPS on 4/20 for our 5/13 DCL cruise (which would be 23 days before we sailed) so I'm hoping any hour we'll get our 12/7 docs.

The countdown chain our boys made is getting so much smaller! Another week and we'll be looking at the 10 forecast!

Getting sooooo excited. It's going to be me (Tawnya, 35), my father (Terry), DD10 (Hannah, will be 11 the day after we disembark), and DS7 (Alex). This is our first cruise and I can't wait. The only concern is my children won't want to spend any time with dear old mom while onboard. We're staying in 6038 and have the first seating.

Heading to OKW after the cruise ends so we'll get to celebrate Hannah's b-day at WDW. She said this will be the best b-day EVER!!!! Yep, I'd think so...lol.

Welcome!

I agree with Hannah - I'd definately think any bday I spent WDW would be the best ever...but then again, I think everyday I'm at WDW is the best!

I actually got excited yesterday - DH called me at work and told me that a package came from Disney. I got home after work all ready to rip that envelope open and it was from Disney shopping - my new Mickey Mouse jeans came. So no docs but excitement just the same!

I totally know what you mean...we got 7 pieces of mail yesterday from Disney...mostly Year of a Million Dream literature and Disney Visa information.
DH said "Disney's really got you on their list!"

Welcome to our group!

Diznyfan68's right--Hannah will have an amazing time. Our boys have each celebrated one of their birthdays on our last 2 DCL cruises and they've been so special. It's my turn this time (the 7th of Dec). We have had them put up the number of fingers they have turned during their picture with Mickey on CC. We've framed that day's Navigator with those pictures. I don't have enough fingers and toes for my years, but I guess I can do a 3 and a 4 or get the boys and DH to help me out!

It is raining where I am at, we have a tornado watch. DD is sick with a virus for 2nd day of being out of school. Better now than when we go on vacation.

We were pounded yesterday! It rained literally the whole day from the time I left work until after I got home - never stopped. And it got quite heavy several times!

It has jus been cloudy here today and a bit colder!

No doc's here either.

It's raining here now - actually rain doesn't describe it - it's raining cats and dogs! Last I heard it is supposed to rain all night - we have flood warnings until tomorrow morning some time.

We got 1 1/2 inches of rain. A cold 63 degress today. Nothing from DCL today.

The rain came down sideways and in sheets here. We had tornado watches and warnings and lots of closed roads. Our ds9's bus was rather late because of the driver trying to find open roads to get them all home. I haven't heard about the number of inches we got, but I'd say a few. Our emergency sump pump activated for the first time since we moved here 5 years ago and the main pump is also pumping! Actually, I just checked a local tv stations web site and it says we had record rainfalls: http://www.wgal.com/news/10337074/detail.html?qs=;s=1;w=320

Mylilnikita-I hope your dd is feeling better soon. Better now than 12/7. We had to take our ds9 to the urgent care outside of WDW the day before our cruise (a surprise to him) in May because we were afraid he had strep his tonsils were so big and his throat hurt so bad. The strep test was negative and the doctor told us it was allergies, thank goodness. Our ds5 had parent day today and so many of his classmates were coughing and had stuffy/runny noses. I sure hope our ds doesn't bring any of it home!
